tMF Comprehensive Guide to TWILIGHT: Most Controversial Issues (Part 2 of a 3 Part Series)
Oct 22nd, 2008 | By Krystal | Category: Book News, Fandom, Featured Articles, Movie NewsThe Movie Fanatic has published the next part of their Twilight guide and have extended it to three parts. This week they discuss various Twilight controversies. The article is very informative and quite impressive. However, there is some strong language, so read at your own discretion.
(There is a great mock-up of a “Midnight Sun” cover that I think is awesome and worth a look)
😛 I love the whole difference between Star Trek/Star Wars to Twilight. It’s absolutly amazing to be honest, and yet rather funny to see such differences and yet the way the grand obbsessions grew further outwards more than other phases such as…let’s just use Harry Potter as a quick example 😉 (Not to be offensive of course ^_^’)
The similarities such as leaders and character bonds are also quite interesting…
I must admit, some of the commetns that have been made are indeed completely sexist, but heck, what can you do. If Twilight is a woman’s book along with the series, then let it be. Men can choose to like it. Likewise for women to like Star Wars/Star Trek. I do love the brewing competeition between such tings, but the fact that gender gets mixed into it baffles me…
It’s as though they’r bringing out the sexist ways again in a minor form.
Also, the speaking on religion really cought my attention, and me laugh in a way. I myself am a Catholic, but seriously, I’m not that into it. Seeing that people would judge simple things which I truely don’t wish to type, does proove that their lower minded. Many arguements arise over such simple matters.
Honestly…why can’t people just accept Twilight is an obbsessed series, and it probably will be for years to come.
It’s not that much of a pain to just get over and openly welcome…is it?
