ABC News has an article on the Twilight Soundtrack topping the charts!

“NEW YORK (Billboard) – The soundtrack to the keenly anticipated vampire movie “Twilight” debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. pop chart Wednesday, ending AC/DC’s two-week reign.

The “Twilight” disc sold 165,000 copies during the week ended November 9 — of which 29% (48,000) were digital downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This marks the second biggest digital week for a soundtrack since the tracking firm began monitoring album download sales in 2004. “High School Musical 2” bowed with 62,000 downloads in August 2007.

“Twilight” is also the third No. 1 soundtrack this year after “Juno” and “Mamma Mia!” The Atlantic Records release, issued in advance of the movie’s U.S. theatrical premiere on November 21, boasts tracks from Linkin Park, Muse and Paramore. It’s based on the popular vampire-themed book series from author Stephenie Meyer.”
