  1. Megan Sears says:

i loved the movie thank you for not butchering the book! Edward is so hot!

  2. Keilla says:

    AMAZING!!!! All I can say!

  3. grace says:

It was REALLY good! I was really worried about how they would make Edward “sparkle” but I think they did an ok job. It ‘s hard to do that and not make it look too cheesy. Rob and Kristen have major chemistry. Rob looks HOT especially in the Port Angeles scene, so intense! I am definitely going to see it again~

  4. Mei J says:

LOVED IT! OMFE, it was GREAT! i went at Midnight, i’m cutting school ritnow cuz i’m soooo tired, and it was WORTH IT! I Even stood at the front of the theater line(i had to get there 3 hours early. XD) and got the BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE! I LOVE TWILIGHT!

  5. emma says:

Perfect. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Kristen and Rob were phenomenal. Absolutely perfect!! I loved the baseball scene, it was even more than I imagined. Every time something was directly quoted from the book, I cried like a baby ( lion, lamb. and the three things quote etc) I was soooo happy that they added so many direct quotes from the book, it made the movie so much more special. I loveddddd Mike, Eric, Jessica, and Angela!!! They were so great! Charlie was amazing! I also liked seeing Renee, she doesn’t have a huge role in the book, but I loved that they elaborated on her character! I know they can’t have everything, but being a fan a harry potter too, I was prepared to not have the movie be perfect to the book. However, I was pleasantly surprised, I really thought that they did and amazing job keeping true to the book!

  6. kathrynKAOS! says:

you are makin me so jelous!!! i hate living in the UK! >:/

    lmao ill c it soon

  7. Melaine says:

Definitely just a 6 out of 10. People – it wasn’t that great. There were some great parts and some great characters, don’t get me wrong but overall, I was really bothered by Rob’s portrayal. Some of it was good but other parts were just goadawful! Keep in mind, I’m not one of those Edward obsessors who felt the character was too perfect to portray. His reaction to Bella in the first biology class – are you kidding me?! People in the theater were laughing in all the wrong parts. And Jasper’s “scary” face sent people into hysterics! I think they tried to fit in so many of our favorite seens that they didn’t have time to really develop the characters cinematically and make us love and worry for them the way they needed to. I can’t imagine somebody liking this movie who hadn’t read the books. The low budget effects were obviously low budget and I think they did the best they could with what they had. That said, I think we can all agree that Charlie was by far the best although Anna Kendrick was a close second. She nailed Jessica’s personality. And I thought the soundtrack was brilliantly blended into the film. Even the 2 songs I didn’t care for at first worked once I saw them in the picture. I’m hoping for a bigger, better New Moon.

  8. Jessica says:

I loved it, probably four out of five stars. Rob and Kristen’s chemistry was great, the humans and Charlie particularly were hilarious, they kept a fair amount of the dialogue and narrative (even though it was a little cheesy, loved it anyway), and they got the most important parts right. Sure, there are little things anyone could quibble with and the special effects weren’t great, but that doesn’t matter. Overall it was wonderful!

  9. Kate says:

OME! I loved it. Especially when he sparkled. His body really did look like a bunch of diamonds. I wouldn’t mind staring at that all day. Oh and I will never look at baseball the same way again. I so wish that the scene had been longer. And there was more Alice in this than I was expecting so I was like YAY! MORE ALICE! WOOHOO!! I want to go again today but apparently some of my friends still haven’t recovered from the midnight premiere.

  10. megan says:

To be completely honest, I’m not exactly sure how I liked the movie. I thought that it seemed rushed and I was disapointed that they left out alot of things (such as the blood-typing, a chapter I always liked) and the meadow scene didn’t reach my expectations at all. I do understand that since the book is so amazing that recreating it would be nearly impossible — which is why I tried not to have my hopes too high going into it — but unfortunatley I was dissapointed 🙁

P.S. Did anyone else noticed that the scene in the trailer where Emmett says, “Edward, she’s not one of us,” wasn’t in there at all? I found that odd.

  11. mamzalini says:

I absolutely loved it!!!! It was so great to have the book visually presented on to the big screen. Rob was AMAZING!!! I was completely dazzled by him. *sigh drool swoon* OME!!!!!! The chemistry between the two was explosive. I’ve read the book 3 times and I loved falling in love with Edward again. Though it could’ve been 4 hours long and it still wouldn’t have been enough for me. I’ve been so excited for the movie that I’ve been awake since Wednesday morning. I went to the midnight release this morning and I’m going again tonight. Hopefully when I do eventually fall asleep my dreams will be of Edward.

  12. Olivia says:

i loved the movie and i loved how it followed the book so closely, but my main problem with it was i thought it went so fast. like one minute they were in biology then the next they were in love! i know it was a long book and there was a lot of stuff to fit in but it just seemed really rushed to me. my favorite part was hands down the kiss scene. HOT. SO HOT. overall i’d give it 3 1/2 stars.

  13. Andrea D. says:

I was disappointed. There were some good parts, but overall the movie was choppy and I think the connection between Bella and Edward wasn’t as well developed as it is in the book. I also think some of the good parts were ruined by the constant music being played in the background. The best part of the movie I felt were Bella’s friends and Jacob! Her friends were too funny and Jacob is exactly how I thought he would be! I personally think they saved the movie from being awful! Hopefully, if they make New Moon, the story will be better developed because right now I think I’m switching sides from Team Edward to Team Jacob!

  14. Melissa says:

Ok, so I was severely dissapointed with Twilight the movie. I think the worst part was when Edward and Billy pass eachother in their cars and they glared at each other. It reminded me of a bad western with two gunslingers staring each other down. Everyone in the theatre laughed! My friend suggested that maybe the colored contacts the vamps had to wear were uncomfortable because both Edward and Jasper spent the whole movie with their eyes wide open, looking surprised. I, like everyone else, have been waiting for this movie and I feel that fans were let down. The special effects were cheesy, if you don’t know how to make someone look like they move fast then don’t show it! The chemistry between Edward and Bella was good but Robert Pattinson’s over the top acting made it all seem silly. And what was up with that ugly sweater that Bella wore to the prom?

  15. Kati H. says:

I give it 3 and 1/2 stars. I agree with a lot of the others that it felt a little rushed, especially with how fast Bella and Edward fell in love. But I thought the acting was perfect. The casting could not have been better. Kristen and Rob were AMAZING, Billy Burke (Charlie) was dead-on, the humans were hysterical, and the entire Cullen clan was just perfect. I wish the movie had been a half hour longer and that we could’ve seen more of the Cullens, but overall I thought the movie captured the most important part-the intensity and passion between Bella and Edward.

  16. LeeEtta says:

I liked it, though it was too cheesy at times. I saw it at midnight last night and people were also laughing at Jasper, and the bio scene. I think if you’ve read the books you know the entire back story so things are funny for us but I don’t think they would be to someone who hasn’t read the books. There were definitley the good parts like the fight scene, baseball and Port Angeles but occasionally there was some over acting. Don’t get me wrong, I love Rob and Kristen and they did a good job but yeah, it was a little over done occasionally. Overall I enjoyed it, and as I’m seeing it again with my book club, I guess it can’t be that bad.

  17. Gabby says:

I loved t soo much. I cant wait to see it again

  18. Crissi says:

I think that I built it up too much in my mind, because it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Don’t get me wrong, it was still an amazing movie, but it just wasn’t what I imagined when I thought seeing the things happen on the big screen. The sparkling in the sun was cheesy.
    Still very good though =)
    Still a Twilight die hard.
    TEAM EDWARD FTW!

  19. Eva says:

OME!!! I loved the movie!!! I have seen it already twice and already have tickets to see it again for a third time!!! The movie is not exactly has the books, but it has all the right elements and essence of them to make it just perfect!!! I am very sad that many people have criticized the movie and hated it sooo much, that it is just tooo sad!!! Rob was great as Edward, I believe he made it work A LOT!!! He was just amazing and Kristen (which I just love) she did an excellent job in performing as Bella!! OME!!! I just couldn’t take my eyes of the screen!!! The whole cast delivered what was supposed to be seen, even SM cameo!!! I really, really wish they would make New Moon, ’cause I just can’t wait for it!!! Please don’t bash the movie, it was awesome and any true Twilight fan appreciates the effort of just seen the book become a movie. Remember, movies are based of books and can’t be exactly as is and in money-wise Summit doesn’t have the $200M Harry Potter or any other movie has… AND SUMMIT DID GREAT! and Catherine DID GREAT! and the cast was believable!! Read the books, understand the characters and then watch the movie!!! You will love it!!! Twilight Rocks!!

  20. sam says:

i could of think the cheesy-ness kind of helped in along..its a big book to fit into a 122 min movie and i tihnk the sparkling was done really well!!! overall i was totally happy with it..

remember the budget was low bc summit isnt a big company so they didnt know how big it would be, i think the sequels would just get better…i loved how they had victoria in the end!!! and the baseball seen was cool!! but there were alot of awkward moments..but it just made it great!…and did anyone else see setphenie meyer in the diner!!??

over all i think i’d give it 3 1/2-4 stars…it had all the key parts! and i kept my mind open and didnt try to compare it to the book the whole time!

  22. brandi says:

OME!! i really liked the movie… (****1/2) i took my boyfriend to see the movie with me at midnight last night and he said he enjoyed it… he was a little confused at the beggining of the movie when people were laughing at edward in bio class and jaspers akward expression when he met bella, but he said it all made sence as the movie progressed
parts of it were better than others: i really liked the part when bella went to the cullens house for the first time and baseball, my biggest dissapointment was the medow scene- this was by far my favorite part of the book and i feel like it was all wrong, epecially the way edward was DEMANDING bella to see him in the sun by yanking her to the sun :-/
other than that i did enjoy it for wat it was: twilight the MOVIE and not the book… people that say it was a dissapointment really need to remember this- obviously they couldnt make it just like what every fan has imagined in their minds

  23. JWood says:

Loved the movie – can’t wait to see the next! But I do want to see more of the romance described in the book between Edward & Bella.

  24. sou says:

LOVED IT!! I’m seeing it again, and again!!! rob was amazing!! That movie left me wanting more!! lol
I remembered i was so sad when it was over.

  25. sou says:

Ome!! And yes! The movie was like experiencing the book I love in a whole new and different way! Once again, amazing!! :p

  26. sou says:

LOL (last one i promise) I’d give it 4 out of 5!!! ^-^

  27. team cullen says:

i really liked the move… i just wished the other cullens had more lines… and i dont think we ever found out what jaspers power was in the movie
other than that it was amazing!!! even the extra stuff that was added to make it work.. i think they did this really well!!!
OH and i LOVED stephenies cameo apperance at the dinner!!!

  28. Rachel Ann says:

I’m a totally giving Twilight 4 1/2 stars out of 5! I would give it a five, but I feel like there could have been a little more detail taken from the book and placed in the movie. There were sometimes where I was thinking, “Well, they could have done this and made it a little bit more intense” or “There could have been more detail in that scene.”. Other then that I felt like the movie was something every Twilight fan was wishing it would be. [Or at least MOST Twilight fans.]

It had all of the key parts that let fans know they wanted to give them all the scenes that made Twilight the story it is today. I laughed, my cheeks turned red at some parts [That kissing scene was AMAZING!], and overall swooned over every little thing. I thought Charlie was portrayed exactly how I thought he should have been. Billy Black was amazing and actually more then I thought he was going to be. I thought the end with Jacob and Edward glaring at each other made it a great transition into the next films, and the Victoria part at the end was a GREAT cliff hanger.

Overall I loved the movie to death, and it was everything I expected and more. Can’t wait for New Moon! So all you twilight fans need to get out to movie theaters this weekend so we can get the numbers we need for the next! I know I will be going again sometime throughout the weekend or week! Thanks Kassie and Kallie for being right there along with all of us crazy Twilight fans and helping us find great articles and interviews that we otherwise wouldn’t have found!

  29. Maddy says:

I would give it a 4 out of 5. I loved the chemistry between edward and bella, but i thought james was cheesy at times. This movie recieved a D+ in my state and i disagree with it, but i would give it nothing higher then a B. Every scene was choppy. It didn’t flow right, and an article in my city says quote, “It doesnt help that, as Bella, Kristen Stewart looks sullen the entire time. She’s supposed to be unraptured by the thrills of her first love. Instead, she appears to be in throes of pain.” unquote.
Now that’s a little harsh, but i to an extent. she rarely smiled. ALSO SHE NEVER BLUSHED! thats like taking the Ed out of Edward (which leaves WARD haha and that made me laugh). That’s who bella is. Also, they never ONCE SAID I LOVE YOU TO EACH OTHER! i just about ripped the screen. They kissed, what, like 3 times. (although i must say the bedroom one was amazing and the ending kiss gave me butterflies).
Im sorry for complaining, it’s just ive got to vent an make some points. The best thing in this WHOLE film was Rob. Aside from being absolutely gorgeous, he acted SO well. I would sit there and have to remind myself that this was an actor. Carlsile did VERY well too. The scene seemed more natural with him in it, like you were watching a person’s life.
Rosalie did AMAZING too! dude, she was such a…witch. hhahaha. I loved the kitchen scene. Jacob did well too, he’s just so cute! Alice was adoreable, but sometimes it felt forced. Jasper made me crack up! Jessica said, “who looks like he’s in pain.” hahaha. Emmett was just plainadorable hahah.
Mike had a bigger part then Jacob. did anyone notice that. and im sorry to say, but eric talked a little gay. hahahah but it was entertaining.
My article also says Jessica stole the scenes and should have been the lead cause we would have had more fun. WHAT? personally i have NEVER liked jessica. She acted like a snob at times.
Honestly, i just think the directing wasn’t the best. It could have been WAY better, but i still love it and I believe 200% they will redeam themselves in New Moon if they go through with it.
Overall, Rob, Rosalie, Jasper, Bella (92% of the time), Alice, and Stephenie Meyer when she was in the diner for about 4 seconds were the best parts of the whole movie. Even though it had some rough spots though, i still loved it along with the 200 other screaming girls in the theater at 12:01am.

  30. Candice says:

I give it 4 and 1/2 stars. I loved the movie. The entire time I was watching Bella and Edward I had butterfly’s, and even though the movie was yes, very indie, and yes somewhat choppy, I still loved it for what it was. I had three other friends with me, and two of them didn’t like it. Actually, they kinda pissed me off, since the only reason they didn’t like the movie was because it wasn’t exactly like the book. I wanted to keep on telling them “No flippin duh! you cant fit 500 pages into a two hour movie!!!!” They were nit-picking everything just because certain parts weren’t put into the movie. But the one other person that was with me (a guy) liked the movie without reading the book.

  31. Lmary says:

A+A+A+A+A+ , Seriously what’s wrong with some of you, Twilight the movie was great, LOVE IT, how in the world you think they could put so many pages of a book in a movie, THIS WAS THE WAY TO DO IT. It has all the points that I wanted to see in the movie, yes they were some other that I wanted to see that weren’t there but HELLO they put 544 pages in a 2 hour movie. And ROB – OMG I do not even know were to start with this guy, his acting was so freaking good, LOVE HIM, LOVE HIM, TOTALLY AMAZED BY HIS ACTING, KRISTEN AND EVERYONE ELSE WERE REALLY GOOD TOO.

If you were a truly Twilight fan, you will see how AWSOME this movie was, so I personally want to thank SUMMIT, ROB, KRISTEN, ALL THE STAFF AND SPECIALY, SM BUT A GREAT BOOK AND CATHERINE FOR A GREAT AND AMAZING MOVIE.

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE THE SECOND, THIRD AND FOURTH BOOK IN A BIG SCREEN. I watch the movie twice, and I’m planning to watch it again and buy the DVD as soon it comes out.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT… I GIVE THE MOVIE ALL THE STARTS I CAN FIND…Because it was that good.

  32. jcking78 says:

i’ll give it 4.5 out of 5. i’m just plain happy to see edward and bella in the flesh, basically. after seeing it with my DFW girls, i wanted to rush home and read the book again, but have the movie and some of how they would’ve portrayed every scene in my head while reading. seeing the characters i truly love personified is the best! i’m an optimist, so anything negative about it was outweighed, by far, by the things i loved about it. i’ll be seeing it many times in the upcoming week 😀

  33. Gina says:

Me encanto! esta pelicula me encanto.

from PUERTO RICO, -> -> WE LOVE THE MOVIE! 🙂

  34. Geni says:

I was pleasantly surprised, actually. After watching other books slaughtered on screen, I went to the midnight showing because of the books, and my support for Stephenie, NOT because i thought the movie would be good. The posters and trailers didn’t do it justice IMO. The humor was good, i thought, very accurate to the characters’ personalities. And I think all of the supporting characters did a great job (I mean, Mike and Jessica were very close to the book, and Charlie was hilarious). The biology scene was extremely cheesy *gag*, I mean come on, a fan? But I can get over that, i suppose. I thought James and the ballet studio was done as good as could be expected without more money for effects. But all of the actors/actresses did a good job, the soundtrack was tasteful, and I loved seeing Stephenie at the diner! Rob and Kristen also were satisfactory, and i was so disgusted when they were first cast as Edward and Bella (rob looks drugged or zombified in almost all of the pre-movie teasers/posters/etc and its so gross!) but again, very pleasantly surprised. I can live with this one. Good job Summit!

  35. Nahalet says:

I’ll give it 4.8 out of 5, it was really good. I really like the movie. AWSOME, I love all the new things they add to make it work better in the screen.

    Simply: LOVE IT!

  36. Amy says:

I loved loved loved the movie. Catherine did a great job. I think it moved just a little too fast for me but i am used to reading it and like to savor my favorite moments. I was especially happy with dialog from the book placed in the movie. Rob and Kristen did a fabulous job. I am going to go see it a few more times while on vacation. I plan on taking my sister and neice. Now i can’t wait for the DVD and the deleted and extended scenes.

  37. Maddy says:

EVERYONE GO READ NUMBER 29 COMMENT (it’s mine)
i just wanted to point out one more time because it bothered me so much
THEY NEVER ONCE SAID I LOVE YOU TO EACH OTHER!
    also, she NEVER BLUSHED.
    and THEY KISSED 3 TIMES.

But with what we got, i was happy:)
I remember specifically when Rob said, “You are my life now” about 180 out of the 200 girls in the theater went AWWWWWW!
    icluding myself:)
i loved how sweet he was. He made me fall in love with edward all over again. wonderful job rob:D

  38. Kristina says:

I went to the 11:59 showing with my boyfriend, who knows of Twilight because he has been with me while i read all the books and filled him in on everything I knew. The movie was NOTHING like i thought it would be, and that’s fine because I know not everyone thinks alike and the Twilight , as known in my mind, is not the Twilight that others know the same way. Anywho, i liked some of the characters, i feel that it was too short (2 hours is a bit too short to make the movie live up to the book) it was not enough time to develop the characters properly, and i spent all of last night dreaming about the remaking of TWILIGHT.
Which I think should happen. Honestly, the movie would have been FINE if they had some more scenes with EACH character for development purposes. In the book I was in AGONY everytime Bella went home and didn’t see Edward at school and wanted to read until the next day when she went to school again, in the movie, they fell in love in a matter of minutes? it was not really believable. Also, I know this may sound dumb but this is why I could not take Bella seriously: I hate her mouth. Her lips/teeth/chin remind me of this dumb girl Ella who i’ve known for a looooong time and hate with passion, and I know it’s NOT HER FAULT but i still could not take her seriously because of that.

    I was very disappointed.

  39. Rachel Cullen says:

    ******************************** lllllllloooooooovvvvvvveeeeeee iiiittttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. Jamie says:

I also noticed that they never dais I love you.
And, in the hotel w/ Alice and Jasper, Bella doesnt seem at all relieved or happy to hear from Edward. She was supposed to have been waiting for his call.!!!!!! I loved the movie though, it was AMAZING!
I do have to say that Kristen is a ridiculously talented actress, and ROb is good too, but Kristen is far better!!!!!!!!!!

  41. Cathy says:

I’d give it 3 out of 5. It had moments of lameness. Some of the dialogue and interaction between Bella/Kristen and Edward/Rob was awkward, like it was their first take of the scene and they were nervous. It was stilted and choppy and items that should have been key were left out of scenes that were in. There were too many confusing mish-mashes of stuff.

That being said, there were also moments of brilliance. The chemistry between the two at times, the kiss and the meadow and the prom scene, was sizzling. The ballet studio was fantastic beyond belief. And I absolutely adored the baseball scene. It was adorable and fast paced and Muse’s song Supermassive Black Hole had the perfect amount of energy.

Overall, good but not great. I think it could have been better.

  42. Lyncoln says:

I give it 4 Stars! I absolutely loved the movie the first time I saw it and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna fall in love with it even more the other few times I go! lol The movie is what it is. You can’t compare any adaptation movie to it’s book! There’s just no way! But I have to say that this is the closest adaptation I’ve ever seen. Yes, there was key dialogue missing and some key scenes…in fact like others, I think the meadow scene could’ve been longer. But again, there’s no way you can cut down a 500 page book into a 2 hour movie. Now, being the Twilight fan that I am, I would’ve happily sat in the theater watching the movie for 6 hours if I had to. I was that into it!

Can I just say that Rob is the absolute most perfect choice as Edward? I was skeptical at first cause all I had ever seen him in was Harry Potter, but he seriously just blew me away with his performance! The moment he walked through that cafeteria door in slow motion, I literally gasped! It was like seeing my imagination come to life! Rob was incredible throughout the whole movie with his looks, his voice, his mannerisms….everything was pure Edward! *sigh* Kristin did a nice job as Bella. I thought there could’ve been a bit more blushing on her side and more angst shown of her growing love for Edward. But it’s ok b/c their chemistry made up for that. There were so many moments that I found myself not breathing! LOL I just sat there mesmerized by everything! The first kiss scene…OME!! It was slow, but the tension really built and I loved Edward’s, “Don’t move!” haha While it was a simple kiss, it was also very heated and one of the most romantic kisses I’ve ever seen onscreen! The way Edward pretty much picked her up and landed on the bed, i was like, “Oh my Lord!” It was intense! lol

The rest of the cast was perfectly chosen as well! The Cullens were right on! I wish we had seen more of Esme though. She seemed to be such a sweetie. Jasper was adorable! Yeah, everyone laughed at his face and how emotionless he was! It was great! Carlisle looked awesome, but I think they did go a little over the top with the white makeup in his first appearance! When he came through those hospital doors, everyone let out a laugh. He was waay too pale! But it looked better as the movie progressed!! Loved the portrayal of Rosalie and Alice too!

I’m so tired of the Special Effects bashing! I think the special effects were nicely done given that they had such a low budget to make this film! I personally think films look better and more realistic when they don’t go overboard crazy with the CGI stuff! I like it when production companies use natural technology instead of computer technology all the time. Sometimes things are way too computerized that it just looks too hokey! There was nothing wrong with anything I saw in this movie as far as special effects go! Edward’s sparkle was just right. Not too over the top and I mean, that would be a very hard thing to capture!

I think even if you’re not a fan of the books or never read them, you will enjoy this movie. My mom went with us last night and she didn’t know anything about it. She came out of the theater gushing just as much as we did! It was so funny cuz in the middle of hte movie, she had to go use the restroom and I told her to go. SHe gave me this evil stare and said, “Ya’ll have read the book! I don’t know crap about what’s going to happen!” She was so into it!

But seriously, this movie is made of win in my opinion. The best advice to give you is don’t go into thinking it’s gonna be like the whole book come to life! It’s not. In fact, there’s some things that were added that I think were great! SPOILER ALERT: Like Bella dreaming of Edward biting her! OME! It was a nice surprise! 😉

The movie is what it is and the book is what it is. IMO, they’re both awesome in their own unique ways! I hope to see the other books turned into film really soon!

  43. sydnee says:

i really did love it! i thought that the very last scene with victoria at the prom was a great way to get the audience to come to the next movie.I got up and went to see it at 12:01 AM and im glad i did.there were over 9 theaters packed with people who wanted to see it at midnight. It was the best movie ever.Robert made a fantastic Edward and Taylor made a Great Jacob. But i think that the person who matched their character perfectly was Ashley/Alice.She was really good.well im off to go see it again in about 30 mins so bye!!

    lalalove,
    sydnee

  44. Angie says:

I love the movie! It was great! All of the actors definetely brought the characters to life. First, I was very surprised on how much I enjoyed the humans. Charlie, Billy, and all of the Forks friends brought that comic relief that was needed into the story. And the relationship between Bella and Charlie was exactly the same way it was written in the book, a very silent love between them. I wished they would have shown more of the Cullens, but in the brief moments they were on camera was exactly how I pictured it in my head. Rob and Kristen were amazing as Edward and Bella. I was a little worried on how they were going to express that impossible bond between the two, but I have to say I was not disappointed. Although some of the special effects looked a little weird at times, it wasn’t unexpected considering the low budget. Hands down, my favorite scene was the baseball game. Amazing! It was so much fun to watch. I’m praying they make enough money to continue filming the series. I know I’m going back to watch it over and over again, so there’s $100 to get them started. : )

I love your podcast and I hope you had fun in Los Angeles!

I would give it a 3 out of 5. I knew that the movie wouldn’t be exactly like the book, but I was a little disappointed by it. I was particularly bothered by how some key events in the book weren’t made in the movie.
For example Jacob telling Bella about the legends. In the movie he kind of started to tell Bella about it but he didn’t really tell her about the Cullens being vampires, which then threw off the Port Angeles scenes. She went and bought a book about the legends so she didn’t really think he was a vampire & it didn’t really show him confirming it, he just said that he could read minds. But in the book Bella had her suspicions about Edward being a vampire already before they had dinner together and he confirmed it on the drive home.
I also thought that it kind of skipped from Bella and Edward not really knowing each other to suddenly being madly in love with each other.
It was a tad bit cheesy at parts but I really enjoyed some of the humor thrown in that wasn’t in the book. Don’t get me wrong I really liked the movie there were just some parts that irked me.
I really hope that for New Moon (if it ends up happening) that the screenwriters listen to what people are saying that they liked and disliked about this film so the next one will be better & a wider audience will appreciate it.

i would give it as many stars as i could because it was great the acting was perfectly done for the book i mean yah people can say they were bad actors but u have to read the book and if u really read into the books u can tell it is all awkwardness and lovely stuff lol well loved the movie

My pros and cons (the pros heavily outweigh the cons!)
    Pros:
    Baseball was amazing
The music fit really well. I was skeptical at first, but it worked.
The cooking scene with the Cullens was hilarious!
    James was terrifying
I loved the attention to detail and all of the lines that were straight out of the book.
    Cons:
    No Carlisle back story
There were a lot of moments that I think were supposed to be serious that were actually funny (eg. The Edward/Billy
staredown in the car was over the top)
The other Cullen kids could have had bigger parts. Jackson had what, two or three lines max?
Overall it was great. Everyone is going to have their own likes and dislikes. From what I saw of the reactions at the midnight showing, everyone seemed pretty happy. And after all, the fans approval is really all that matters. There are definitely enough of us to earn the next movie!
P.S. Twilight live was so much fun to see and listen to! I’m so happy that you guys got to go, I hope you had a great time.

Went to the midnight show and LOVED the movie!!! The whole cast was awesome!! I wish there were more details but I understand that it was impossible to have a 500 page book turned into a 2 hour movie…maybe it should had been 3 hours long!!! 🙂 I felt like I sat for 1 hour, it went fast!. I ‘m going to see it a couple more times this weekend with different people and hopefully I can breath better watching a second time… I felt like I had held my breath the whole time…. LOVE IT!!! Hope New Moon happens!!!

WHOA!!! I don’t know what you guys are talking about!! Did we see the same movie????? How can you say that you loved it???? NOT A SINGLE SCENE WAS DONE CORRECTLY!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS TERRIBLE!! I cried all the way home. Everything important was cut out or messed up. For example: blood typing, the meadow, when she meets the cullens, the hospital, the heart moniter going haywire?,what was up with Charlie?, Alice??? where was she?, where is Bella’s crap computer???, when does jacob dance with Bella??, what is up with “spidermonkey”?, can vampires fly?????? OmJ!!!! all of you who say you liked it have obviously fallen victim to the huge hype around the movie, and how Edward is so hott, this is ridiculous!!!! Twilight is not supposed to be funny, so tell me why there where so many awkward hilarious pauses made by edward?????? OMJ!!! I could go on for hours. This was an even bigger disappointment than Breaking Dawn. : (

hmm i dont know how i feel about the movie. although i think it was very rushed and the medow was not what i thought it would be but overall i liked and think it was a good movie. the new medow scene grew on me and robs preformance in that scene was amazing. there was a lot of awkward pauses and cheezeness but in a good was i thaught all the supporting roles mike was so funny.i really liked the part when Billy and Charlie where fighting in the background and billy was trying to be cool.one thing that really bugged me was the cullens were not developed at all and i alice never found out about her past they could have definatly squezed in a couple more mins. for that and for her and bella to become better friends. i love how the set it up perfectly for new moon and all the little jokes like when jacob came to prom and edward was like i leave you alone for 1 min. and the wolfs decend. so overall not what i thought it would be like but i think that everyone did a fantastic job and i will definatly go see it some more.
