    oh yeah, i 4got:
    5 BAZILLION STARS!!!!!!!

  2. Gretchen says:

I really liked the movie, they did a good job and I liked the new scenes. I didn’t however like how pale some of the characters were when they were first introduced(Carlisle). I thought that Rob and Kristen had great chemistry on the set and did a really good job showing the love Edward and Bella share. The running through the forest thing looked a little silly and I think they could have done something better with that. I think Charlie is awesome and they did a great job with that also! Overall I would give it 4 stars because anything twilight deserves no less!
    P.S.
Jacob is a little boy in it and even though personality wise that is fitting, I think they need to get somebody more intimidating for New Moon.

  3. Erica says:

I seen the movie last night at midnight and I was so excited but while I was watching it I am not gonna lie I was disappointed. Some of the scenes were rushed and didnt transition all that well. The dialogue was kinda cheesey in some parts, but most of it was pretty good. I think that should have developed the characters of the Cullens better and not so much on the kids from school because they arent as important. I thought Rob was a great Edward and Kristen a good Bella also I loved Rosalie, Carlisle and Charlie because they played their parts the best. I was expecting more in the movie from the book like more of Alice because she is awesome and the meadow scene. The best scenes were the baseball scene and the ballet scene they were totally awesome!!! Overall, the movie was good and I will probably watch it again and pay more attention to it because the first time I watched it I kept thinking, “That’s different from the book” or “That’s different” and “That’s not supposed to be funny.” I can’t wait for New Moon to come out because I know it will be better. Go Team Edward!!!!!

  4. Jenine says:

    It was really rushed!

But I love it for what it is…
    my favorite scence was:

When bella and Edward are making out on her bed and Edward flies into the wall, so cool!!!

  5. Cassie (with a C) says:

I would have to give the movie 4 stars. It was definitely not perfect, but it did exceed my expectations. I just thought that it could never be as good as the book and that there wasn’t going to be any way that they could capture the same feelings that the book evoked. I thought that really getting the intimacy of Edward and Bella would be too difficult and it would not even compare to the book. I guess I was proved wrong though, because I really did enjoy the movie. While I was watching I didn’t even compare it to the book because it was really in its own league and not be compared to the book, but in a good way. There were definitely some scenes that had the whole crowd and myself laughing when we shouldn’t have been, but that was okay. What I particularly enjoyed though was the comice relief in the movie. I loved the characters of Mike and Charlie because they were simply hilarious. I absolutely loved the scenes with them in it and could watch the movie over again right now just because of them, even though I never had any real liking for those characters in the books. All in all, I thought the movie was a fairly decent, no, an almost excellent portrayal of the book.
P.S. I loved Stephenie’s cameo at the restaurant. It was great because I could just hear a ton of people in the crowd at the theatre were whispering excitedly, “Omigosh, that was Stephenie!!” Of course, I was one of them, but that wasn’t anything different because I was whispering things to my friends throughout the entire movie. I guess that means it must have had me interested because I never talk at movies.

  6. Jennica says:

    fIVE STARS!!
    Love love loved it!!
Can’t wait to see it again!

  7. Amanda says:

    oh my edward
i would give it an 8!!!!!!!!!!
it was amazing!!!!!!!!!! i loved how the sparkles were subtle and the kisses made my heart pound. i literally stopped breathing during the parts where he was trying to scare her off. robert’s facial expressions were…………idk. there are no words. in the ballet room scene, when he was trying to save her, his face was astounding. it was confused and yearning, and distractingly sad. until i saw rob’s face, i would never have been able to contemplate the pain and suffering edward went through ,just to be with bella. the movie made it all the more life-like. i am now officially in love with rob pattinson.

  8. Amanda says:

I was disappointed by the movie! UGH! Rob and Kristen were WAY too serious in the movie. They’re supposed to be much happier in the book. gr. I have mixed emotions about the movie. I really liked some scenes, and I hated some scenes, too. It just depends how you imagined it in your head. My FAVORITE part in the movie was small, but I liked when Bella and Edward went public at school and Edward put his arm around her in the parking lot. His sunglasses and his face right there was hot! Oh and by the way, what was up with the Port Angelas waitress in the restaurant? Isn’t she supposed to be “hot”? She was creepy looking.

  9. huda says:

i give it 4 out of 5 stars. i was really dissapointed with Rob’s acting, it was kind of cheesy and overdramatic. thats something i really wasnt expecting. i LOVEDDDD Charlie! Billy Burke is such a good actor. i was also a bit dissapointed with Kristens acting..i have to say the humans did a better job. except for Carlisle who did the best job out of the vampires i think. i dont know why they made it so funny, and i wish they had developed edward and bella’s bond more. overall i liked it and will be seeing it again, hopefully i’ll appreciate it more.

  10. jcking78 says:

THEY DO SAY I LOVE YOU!! well, edward does anyway. pay attn to right before the cars leave the garage after he says “you are my life now”

he MOUTHS it more than you actually hear it.

  11. Anne says:

I loved EVERYTHING about the movie. I laughed, I cried…OMG SO AMAZING!!!!

there are two small things though I was sad not to see and those were Bella learning about Carlisle’s past and James telling Bella about Alice’s past and where she came from.

  12. Lindsey says:

The movie was Great. I mean of course there are things that maybe could have been done differently… but its not going to be perfect.
My favorite scene was when Edward took Bella to the Cullen house for the first time. I loved Rosalie breaking the bowl!
And also, having Victoria at the end was great! I absolutely loved that! They may as well have writen “We are going to make New Moon” across the screen. But vampires aren’t supposed to ba able to cry? So I thought that was a little weird.

  13. Susann says:

I loved it!!!! *****(5 stars) I want to see it again tomorrow. I didn’t find a thing wrong with Rob’s portrayal of Edward. I loved when Bella first see’s him walk into the cafeteria. Of course I knew that the movie would be different than the book, they always are. You can’t possibly make a movie exactly like the box. However I think it was AWSOME!!!

  14. alana says:

holy crap the movie kikd ass!!!!! haha i luvd it and it was everything i imagined the cast chemistry everything!!!! it rokd! =)

  15. Sa'Misty says:

I honestly have to say that it wasn’t that great 🙁

Now before you stone me, hear me out…

I felt that WAY to much changed and chopped and added and some stuff left out. I really think that if the movie was made into the book it would have only been 100 pages long…

    HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the thing I really like about it is that it is a book that I really love and it has been turned into a movie. This is so important to me because I wish other books I love could be turned into movie but they don’t 🙁

Do you get me or did I just make no sense? 😀

Love the show! and keep it going because I wanna see if Kassie eventually likes The Host 🙂

  16. Rachel says:

I have to say it did not live up to my expectations. Well it can never do that. I would give it 3.9*’s. I did get to see what i wanted to see which was Bella falling down the stairs.

I love the podcast. Keep it up.
    Rachel

  17. Amber says:

deffinetly ***** (5) stars!!!!!!! IT WAS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING!!!!!!! the one thing i would like to have seen more of though is the rest of the cullen family.. expecially alice! i thought all the characters were fantastic and played the role perfectly! i cant wait for more movies to come out because im sure they will with all the money they appeared to be making just tonight!

  18. Olinda says:

    In general…
My opinion about the movie was that well they do the best they can. I was prepare to the worst… I reaally was hoping that it could be better than I emagine… and well it was.. it was not amazing.. or the best movie that I ever see… I give it 3* and 7 out of 10. Some of my friends come with me to see it.. they said it was amazing.. and then i said.. it was good… they told me that they will read the books because they are now in love with edward (too). It was really fast (that is what i think) i thought it was going to be a little more slow.. because the characters were not the problem.
    The characters….
Rod was really really really good.. he only needs 1 more point to be amazing… only that Kristen was not what i expected.. i think she needs a little more of practice…but well it was fine. The rest of them were amazing.. they get into the paper.
    The ending…
I think it was a good ending.. they dont leave you with the doudes of what is gona happen next, if he make her a vampire or not.
    Well it was really good

  19. Christine says:

Five stars all the way! This movie was amazing. And I have nothing else to think of, but that. EEk! This was worth everything and it was definitely the best movie ever!

  20. Nadine says:

I enjoyed the movie, but it was sort of comedic. The best parts werent preserved or even included well. People in theatre were laughing at serious parts when they werent sapposed to be funny. I didn’t feel any of the same emotions that I felt for the book, and I thought Edward would be smoother and a little less akward. The filming was awsome though, and I would definetly see it again just because..

  21. Missy D says:

Sorry but it wasn’t that great. I would say 2.5 to 3 stars.

Jackson was amazing. Every bit of his body language showed that he loved Alice.

I did not think that Bella and Edward had a bit of chemistry. Also I don’t think that they focused on their relationship at all. All of their sweet romantic moments were cut to make room for stupid stunts. The book is about their romance and I don’t think that they portrayed that. Kristen seemed like she had no desire to be with Edward and was more concerned with finding out the mystery. Rob was good but I don’t know how much I think that he was actually good or if I am just thinking about how much I love Edward. The one thing that bothered me was the stupid flashback at the end that made no sense and was time consuming.

Also I loved Billy Burke as Charlie. From what I have seen from fans it seems like everyone agrees that he stole the movie. But you know that could be because he was in almost every single scene. They should have spent some time doing the questions before they went into the meadow. Edward and Bella spent a lot of time getting to know one another and I thought that they forgot that in the script. They didn’t need to have 2 chapters worth of dialogue but they should have had some questioning and at least one full lunch room scene. Hey Rob! Smile you are Edward, and Edward is not completely suicidal in this movie.

Overall Kristen and Rob tried to take this movie into an angst ridden rollercoaster because they were too good to do a teen flick. Well guess what Twilight is a teen flick! Get on board with the rest of us.

  22. Jacki says:

i loved the movie 😀 although it was a bit rushed so that people who didn’t read the book would have been left dissatisfied, and it was also crammed with details, i loved it. there were so many small, yet important details to look out for! AND stephenie meyer made an appearance in it! 😀 yay! when you watch the movie, you just have to keep an open mind. the actors performed with all that they had! the chemistry could have been better, but then again, they’re actors. trying to fall in what is true true true love with a random stranger is pretty hard 🙂

p.s. the part when mike was shaking his butt at the window = hilarious.

  23. autumn says:

    THE MOVIE WAS AAMMMMAAZZZIIINGG=]]]]

    EDWARD IS SOOO HOTTTT!

I STILL HAVE TO READ THE BOOKSSS.

    100+ STARSS

  24. Amy says:

Bella: Amazing. She brought such a depth and complexity to Bella that I didn’t picture before. It really helped to make her introvertedness in the books real.

Edward: Again, brilliant. I did feel that he played it alot more dark than I pictured it when I read it. I was expecting it, but still… Edward did have his lighthearted moments in the book.

Charlie: WIN WIN WIN WIN!!! One of my favorite performances. All the Bella!Charlie scenes were brilliant. Mostly because they reminded me of me and my Father. In a good way, though. The rifle=hilarious!

Jacob: I enjoyed Taylor’s performance. Especially the prom scene, and that last stare down.

The Cullens: All of them did a fantastic job. I wish we had seen more of them, and less of the humans. Watching them on screen… you could just feel the family love there.

The humans: I did enjoy watching all of them, but I wish there was a little less of them. Like I said… More Cullen love. Mike was so stinkin adorkable. And I was suprised with how much I loved watching Jessica.

The Nomads: Victoria was probably my favorite performance out of all of them. Rachelle IS Victoria. Through and through. Laurent was great too. James was my least favorite, though. Nothing really wow’ed me about him.

The Biology scenes: I had no clue how Robert would portray the pain of first smelling Bella, but I did think it came off a tad bit cheesy. However, there’s no other way for him to it. That being said, I still liked it. I do wish we could have gone into his head, and see his killing fantasies. That would have been amazing on screen. And the second bio scene was literally BY THE BOOK! I felt like I could get up and act it out myself, ya know?

Car Crash/Hospital scene: Well, we’ve all seen the car crash scene millions of times. But it was great to see a shot of the Cullens reactions.

Greenhouse: I liked this addition. It didn’t stand out of the movie, and flowed well with the rest of the story.

La Push: Not really much to say with this one. It was practically verbatim ftom the book. I can’t wait to see Embry and Sam more in the next books.

Port Angeles: Brilliant! The car stunts were epic! I do wish that Bella distacted Edward with the Tyler line, though. I missed that. Same with the “I hate going slow” part. I adored the resturaunt, especially with Never Think in the background. “Money, sex, money, sex, cat.”… lol.

    *RIP Waylon Forge*

The reveal/Meadow scene: While I do miss the Meadow scene from the book, I enjoyed the film version too. The sparkling was so faint, and didn’t look nearly as cheesy as it could have, which I’m so grateful for. And I must say that I love angry!Edward :P. “As if you could outrun me!”

I felt that the period between the meadow and meeting the cullens was a bit rushed. I wish that it wasn’t edited like a montage sequence.

Meeting the Cullens: I loved the meeting more than I did in the book. Having them cooking Italian for her was a great opener for that. I do wish the scene in Edward’s room was kept the same, though. You know, the whole “We thought you were having Bella for lunch…” line. But I the tree frolicking was beautiful.

The First Kiss: OH WOW! That build up didn’t let me down! At all! It took them like 10 seconds to actually kiss, and I was breathless during all of them. You could feel the tension and desire through the screen, especially when Edward passionatly pushed her on the bed. Goodness! I wish there were more scenes like that, though. I mean… at least one more, Catherine. Cmon. Maybe in the dvd…?

Baseball: ALICE IS THE BEST PITCHER EVER! Kthnxbye. This was one of my favorite scenes to watch. There are no words. I loved the interaction with the Nomads, before the realized Bella was a human. That was quite cute.

Bella leaving Charlie: Ths is one of those scenes that always broke my heart, and seeing it on screen was even more gut wrenchingly sad.

Bella leaving Edward: Again, both of them are absolutly falling apart, and I feel like I am too.

Arizona: I wish this scene was longer! It was too rushed, and I wish it was kept the same. Bella’s get away was too easy. I wanted more Jalice :(.

Fight scene: We’ve seen alot of this in clips, but seeing it full was epic. Bella being taken over by the venom was so amazing. Exactly how I pictured it. Alice was so kick ass with the head ripping-off. Edward’s strained voice around bleeding Bella was intense and spooky, and so was his internal battle as he sucked out the venom. There’s no way for it not to look cheesy on screen, but I think the wierd trippy flashback was the more cheesy version…

Prom: Sadly, this scene fell flat for me. But I did melt like butter when he kissed her neck. I surprisingly liked Victoria’s appearence. A nice little cliffhanger.

    Ending credits=PURE WIN!

Over all. I’d give this 3 1/4 stars. It was different than I imagined, but still brilliant.

  25. Rachael says:

    ****’s

I gave the move a four becuase the essential elements fo the book were there but it just wasn’t the book. Parts were missing and the plot was rushed but it was only a 2 hour movie. The end was really violent but I think that they were trying to widen the audience. The genre was thriller but it was more of a comedy, I hate to say. Some parts were laughable when they weren’t supposed to be and certain things were just funny (i.e. Biology Scene) It had looked like Edward had gotten a whiff of some bad Mexican food. The overall movie was very enjoyable but it just wasn’t the book. No book to movie interpretation is ever perfect and I think that with what they were given to work with, it was outstanding. I hope the press and movie critics will eat their words when the box office totals come in. One thing I did like was that they added parts to it. (i.e. the baddy’s and the diner and the police station part and the greenhouse) What I did not like was that they took out the part in the cafeteria where they sit together. I really missed it. Anyhoo, all in all, it was good. Maybe I was just tired. I will have to see it again but for now, my rating is a 4.

Love, love, love the podcast. 🙂 It’s my only way to not read them over and over and over.

  26. Carolynne says:

I saw it tonite as a birthday gift from my best friend & I loved it but she didn’t……I couldn’t disagree w/ her more on what she didn’t like about it but you know that you cannot please everyone. I think Catherine Hardwicke did an amazing job of squeezing 500 pages into 2 hours. Of course, I thought it was more fun seeing it w/ a bunch of screaming teens who carried on everytime Rob was on screen. The atmosphere was crazy & every other girl had on their Twilight t-shirts, including me 🙂 I loved it & cannot wait to see the rest of the books played out on the big screen. Oh & ah….4 1/2 stars 😉

  27. Dannelle says:

Ok, so this is really really really hard for me to say, but I give it like 3-3.5 stars :(. Maybe I watched the trailers so much that I got this picture of what I thought it was going to be. I was first of all dissapointed by the lack of burning desire between Bella and Edward. The books made me think of love in it’s most passionate form, and the movie kind of gave me an empty feeling, I don’t believe I even heard them say I love you once!! Secondly, THE MEADOW SCENE!! I am all done with that…pivotal point in the book and Hardewick blew it! I almost cried when it wasn’t ANYTHING like the book. Thirdly, Jasper looked very stiff the entire time. Yes, he is emotional even kind of rigid around humans, but he looked like he was stabbed in the gut and was in pain the entire time. My other issue was a complaint and a part of the movie that I liked too. The Cullens cooking was HILARIOUS and really stupid at the same time. It showed the lack of knowledge about humans, even though they were once.

What I LOVED…Rob of course!! The music was killer when it was blended into the scenes, Nikki Reed nailed Rosalie perfectly, she really was kind of a witch!! The sparkle scene was pulled off very well, as well as all of the other “special effects” . Ashley Greene was good. Cam, Edi and Rachelle were really great (even though I don’t really care for Cam looking right into the camera as he bites Bella). Taylor was very good (still not enugh to make me go Switzerland or straight up Team Jacob, but that boy is CUTE!!) Mike rocked it, as probably the MOST natural of them ALL! (Sorry, Rob, a few scenes were forced and rushed). Oh my goodness that KISS was amazing! I got the butterflies in my tummy *swoon*…That is all I have to say, overall the movie was satifsfying (definately getting the DVD) but not earth shaking.

LOVED the Twilight Live show…TST and Imprint should get together more!! Y’all are hilarious…

    Dannelle

  28. Heather says:

I was so happy how close it stayed true to the book. The passion and connection between Bella and Edward was wonderful just how I pictured it. I will see it again!!

  29. Heather says:

    Sorry yes a 5 from me 🙂

  30. Chelsie says:

I would give the movie 4 1/2 stars.
My only problem with it is that I wish they would have put more things from the book in to the movie. I’m also not sure if the people who haven’t read the books would understand what was going on. Having said that… I truly enjoyed it. The baseball scene was awesome! I loved all the characters (major and minor), I wasn’t a huge fan of Jasper’s going in but my heart skipped a beat when he came up to bat! I nearly hyperventlated whenever Edward was on the screen and I wasn’t the only one. There was tons of fangirls in the audience last night and they were giggling whenever one of the male vampires or Jacob came on the screen

I have to give two thumbs up to Rob Pattinson’s, Taylor Lautner’s, Ashley Greene’s, and Mike Welch’s performances. They did an amazing job with their characters (Good Job Everyone!)

  31. Annie says:

melaine, i could not agree more
u had the exact thoughts as me
however i thought that kristen was kinda just….out of it, she didn’t fit bella at all
edward was pretty good, but im biased b/c i love him
and ya the biology first time meet….RIDICULOUS
and the hospital scene too, where she has like an anurism and cant speak
but i think my expectations were way too high, so for new moon i’ll start off w/ low expectations and hopefully itll be better
i’ll still see it like 5 times to make sure new moon has a good budget for special effects and i advise others to do so too

also….did anyone else think that edward “sparkling in the sun” looked more like him sweating than anything else
    kinda stupid
but still, i love rob pattinson….he just needs to shave a bit in his chest area

  32. Carey says:

2 stars Simple things from the book were just plain missing. Bella only tripped once in the movie, how could clumsy Bella not be accurately portrayed in a two hour film? And Why Oh Why did they cast Kristen Stewart as Bella? She just didn’t seem like she wanted to do the movie from the get go. But I can’t blame the acting, it seems that most of the characters were given horrible direction, I could word that a little better the director did a horrible job. Bella and Edward babbled like two idiots during the whole movie, which is very confusing because they are two well spoken individuals in the book. Jasper’s in the cafeteria WTF!?! he’s (by the movie) has been going to school for seven months, the crazy person look made no sense. The Cullen’s bad makeup and dye jobs did not make me believe that they were vampires. I felt that Jacob telling Bella the legends was a semi important part of the series; it carries over to New Moon. And if he was not supposed to talk about it why in the world is there a flipping book? This brings me to fact that I enjoyed reminding myself when reading the book that cell phone and high speed internet just weren’t widely available, this was completely removed from the film. All in all I knew that the movie was going to be different from the book, but for me it came down to the fact that the little details were missing. I would also like to add that Stephenie’s playlist for Twilight should have been incorporated into the movie. The best part of the evening was leaving the theater, getting to the car and Time is Running Out was playing on the radio and I reminded myself I’ll always have the books to tell the amazing love story of Bella and Edward.

  33. Marisa says:

You know, I actually enjoyed it. it wasn’t what I hoped, but it was still good. I’m not gonna lie, but some parts were somewhat cheezy. But all in all, it was pretty good. On a scale of 1 – 10, i’d give it a high seven. I loved the scene where Bella and Edward were in the woods – the part where Bella says “Vampire.” I also loved the meadow scene. It was beautiful. And for the baseball scene, well, I thought it was so cool. It was better than I had imagined. But no matter what, the movie will never, ever beat the book.

  34. peeves says:

I give it 3 to 4 *’s and when Edward sparkles and says this is a skin of a killer i couldn’t take him seriously and i was gasping for air and and was laughing so loud!

  35. KK says:

    4 Stars

Lets start out with the bad:
-Edward’s ‘sparkles’ just looked like he was sweating all over the place.
-Both Pattinson and Stewert were very monocromatic. I saw basically two expressions on both of them.
-Edward is way to emo. He IS also in love…
-Edward grimaces when he kisses Bella. That was SO unromantic.
-Every vampire is way too tortured…. Bella sees them as very idealistic, perfect creatures and she is never scared of any of the Cullens except Rosalie. I would be scared… that they would pass out and I’d need to call 911. They never outwardly show there suffering in casual conversation in Twilight. They were so robotic in the movie.
-Edward was way too forward about the whole reading minds thing. He DOESN’T want Bella to know. He basically told her in the movie.
    – I’m having an issue here…. when Bella’s scent blew across the biology lab and Edwards face contorted and he looked like he was having indigestion… was that SUPPOSED to be funny? Cause everyone in the theater laughed…
-Phil and Rennee looked kinda hoboish.
-Some guy vamps had five o’ clock shadow. Could they have edited that out? It’s SO annoying. Also, it is not sexy when guys wear ‘Crushed Rose Petal’ shade lipstick. *coughROBERTPATTINSONcough*
-Edward basically wears the same shirt through the whole movie.
-Edward is a gentlman. He doesn’t just put his arm around her shoulders. That one snarky comment ‘It does in my world’ has really been bugging me…. grrr….
    YAY… Now the good!
    -I really loved some characters:
-Charlie… he was grumpy and protective…. the gun and pepper spray parts were hilarious. He was one of the few things I liked better in the movie. I loved the part when he closed the curtain on Tyler. I felt so bad for him when Bella left.
-Eric… (i’m not trying to be racist or offensive) but he was so incredibly Asain! There is really no other way to describe it. I LOVED him… he was cute and slightly feminine…. but they elaborated and changed him well.
    -Apple thing was awesome.
-Jacob was better than I thought he would be. He did a good job on the ‘checking-Bella-out-and-i-really-like-her-but-i-know-it’s-never-going-to-happen-she’ll-go-out-with-me’ thing.
-Alice was also a lot better than she thought I was going to be. She was perky and fun and the most human of the vampires.
-I know this isn’t that related… but i really like the Cullens outfits…. Alice’s and Rosalie’s when you first see them are really cute.
-The baseball scene was KICK BUTT!!! It was so fast paced and exciting…. it didn’t look cheesy at all. The song was also AWESOME!
-Victoria’s ‘Kiss me I’m Irish’ souvenir. And Victoria at prom. I wonder how New Moon will start.
-Laurent was very good… a survivor. Not afraid of looking cowardly but obviously very strong. (I loved him in House)
-The boat scene were they ate that guy. When they were coming up on him and taunting him… it was creepy and they made those perfect, entertaining predators. Like Scar from the Lion King. Honest.
-When the Cullens cook for Bella… that was sweet and amusing with the chef on TV. (I wish we had seen the rest of the house).
-Emmet drives into the parking lot standing on his truck… sCAry!
    -Money… Sex… Money… Sex…. Money…. Cat…
-ohh… the other werewolf… not Sam, but the other one. Delicious.

    SO….. I liked the movie a lot….

  36. KK says:

-Also, Alice is a kick butt pitcher.

  37. KK says:

  38. Mona says:

I just got back from the theater. At first I was siting there waiting for things to happen -My brain tried to be a step ahed of the action. This is a curse of someone that read the books. It is hard to watch a book that you already imagined and broken in to little pieces. But all of that had to go. I had to watch it without constantly comparing it to the book or my perceptions of it. Therefore, when I finally gave in, I appreciated the gloomy mood the movie brought to the room. I was in Forks.
I was impressed with actors, it is hard to act awkward situations and make the view feeling awkward (the begging of a new relationship between Bella and her dad, and of course Edward)
The action was great and I liked the placement of the supermassive black hole by Muse in the game scene.
Great movie- Have to see it again -finally relaxed—I know it is hard to let go your own imagination and the movie that have been already created in your mind but try and experience this different work of art.

the movie kinda sucked for me only because i loved the book so much and the movie kinda seemed fake and cheesy to me and it skipped some pretty important scenes. which sucks, it kinda disappointed me but i liked seeing the book in action i guess.

I loved the movie I really did. I loved the”Sparkle” effect. But I didnt like how they cut soooooo many sceanes from the book! It wasnt like the Harry Potter films where you don’t need to read the books to understand the story because it explains everything the way the book does, no it wasnt like that. My mother and my friend Mary both have not read the books so I had to explain a bunch of stuff for them to understand it. For those of us who have read the books it gave a nice protral of our beloved book in my opinion. I wasnt completly convinced that Taylor Lautner could play Jacob because I kept pictureing him as Shark Boy, but now that I have seen him in action I am totally sold! He makes a great Jacob Black.

In the book as you all know Jacob is the one that tells Bella the tale of the Cold Ones but in the movie she learns about them from a book on Quilete legends.
I dont know if it seemed this way to guys but for me when Edward is first starting to talk to Bella he seems kind of …shy, and -this is the only word I can think of to discribe what I heard so please dont kill me- dumb. I mean when I was reading the book I always pictured Edward to have like a regal or majestic presence and I just didnt see that in the film.

Omg it was so good I already watched it twice already its so good I cried during the movie both times I’m going twice on Saturday and Once on Sunday. its so good. I still thought it was going to be a good movie even tho its not the same as the book but I didn’t care. and its so much better then I thought. Team Edward all the way. I give the movie ***** 5 stars I could watch it everyday and not get tried of it. and I will when it comes out on DVD can’t wait tell whenever that day is hope its soon.

  45. Kass says:

Ok I’ve seen the movie twice and honestly it was better the second time around ! I loved the movie but the things that bothered me were the close ups on the characters, parts that seemed way to fast and some cheesy acting lines oh and some cheesy special effects but I understand why with it’s 36 million dollar budget I understand completely !!!
I wish the there were more scenes with Edward and Bella even though their connection was nothing like the books they did good with what screenplay they had ! And I know the movie can never live up to the books and what I had in mind but IT WAS A ENTERTAINING and fun MOVIE !!!

  46. Graceey says:

u guys r SO lucky! I wanna see it soon too! I wish i could…

I went in knowing the movie couldn’t follow the book page by page, and absolutely I loved it. Adaptations always tend to lose development because of the time constraints, and they did a phenomenal job compressing a really big book into two hours. The baseball scene was my favorite, probably because I had scene very little of it in its finished form. From the time I read the book, that scene was always so much “larger than life” that my visualization was hazy. The movie definitely fixed that. The Cullens were also amazing and did all of the little things that made their personalities. Jasper always looked to be in pain around Bella, Alice had a lyrical quality about her, and Emmett was the goofy big brother, and I wouldn’t want to cross Rosalie. Like any avid reader, the book is still the best, but the movie did not dissapoint.

    P.S. The twist ending… awesome!

I thought the movie was great, though I did have higher expectations on it. I knew it would not be the AS great as the book ( it never usually is ), but I was still a little disapointed. I was hoping for a little more. And I think they skipped a lot of important things from the book and it annoyed me a lot that they changed the story a little.
But it still was a really really good movie, I mean; how could it not be? When it is based on such an awesome book.

That has to be the hottest cast ever..this is what happened in my theater…
    emmett walks in *gasp*
    jasper walks in *gasp*
EDWARD WALKED IN!!! *cheering and screaming*
Carlisle walks in *chokes on spit from to much hotness!!!!

Amazing doesn’t even cover it. That is the best movie ever and if anyone says anything different that they are full of crap!
