Update From Stephenie
Dec 13th, 2008 | By Krystal | Category: Featured Articles, Movie NewsStephenie Meyer has updated her site with a note regarding Chris Weitz’s appointment as New Moon director. She also has posted some of her photos from the Twilight premiere!
“I’m excited to work with Chris and I think he brings a lot to the table, not the least of which for me is that he wrote the screenplay for and directed one of my favorite movies of all time, About a Boy. I’m really looking forward to seeing his vision for New Moon.”
I REALLY hope he does well, and that there isn’t as drastic a change as there was when Harry Potter switched directors…
I’ll keep an open mind. For all I know, the change could be a good thing…
i think he’ll do good as long as he loyal to the books and fans
but it would be interesting to see it directed from a man point of view…
i havent seen any of his movies, but im sure if she likes him, her fans will end up liking him…
it reminds me of the whole robert pattinson ordeal 😛 now we all love him!
I think this will be good idea. Him being a guy and all might help this movie be a little less about Bella feeling suicidal. Don’t get me wrong. I think that is it very important that they show Bella feeling that way but if they make a movie that is almost completely of Bella feeling depressed, i dont think very many people will see it. He should show how Edward is without Bella. I always thought New Moon needed a little bit more Edward in it :-).
