I might be the minorty but I think Jacob has to be replaced. Jacob suppose to grow to be taller then Edward and look like someone in his 20s plus be an monster wolf. Compared to Rob whos six feet he just can’t be Tyler whos smaller and looks his age. They can keep Tyler before the transformation but after the transformation it has to be someone else. If they want to follow the book they should replace him;if they want to please the fans then keep him.

I understand both sides of the argument, but this isn’t a stage play. He does not need to actually BE taller than Edward in order to APPEAR to be taller. Taylor is already taller than Kristen and he’s definitely more muscular than “Sam” or the other “kids”. Actually when you get right down to it, NONE of the actors look EXACTLY as described in the book but they are all believable as those characters including Taylor. I’m certain he can bulk up a bit more (he’s already gained 19 pounds!) and the height requirement can be met with “movie magic”.

I think it’ll be distracting if Jacob is suddenly a completely different actor. He won’t merely look older as much as he’ll look like a different person.

Now, I would really like Chris Weitz and Summit to get down to the business of how they’re going to make a great movie with such a tight schedule!
