some of wat she said actually made me feel a little less nervous about the new director, but even more nervous at the same time!
i also hope that, because Summit knows how big this film will most likely be no matter what, they dont rush through it just get it out quicker, therefore making more money sooner! this would just ruin it all and probably ruin some of the fan base as well so i hope they realize what they are doing w/ all these changes ’cause at the moment it is makin me pretty nervous!
but im sure it will be great in its own way!
peace. love. twilight. *forever <3*
In certain areas I feel more relieved and calm, but in others I feel more nervous too, where is I didn’t before??.. Maggie brought up some very valid points. I will say that when it was announced that Chris had NM, I was saddened, and then Stephenie okayed it. So I decided Chris needed a fair trial 😛 and I rented ‘About A Boy’ and loved it. I have more hope then before. The possibilty of Taylor being replaced does bum me and has me asking if they are going to be making decisions for the greater good or for a quick ‘fix’. Well, all we can do is wait……..
As of yet, I’ve only seen “The Golden Compass”. I LOVED it. And then I read the books… The Golden Compass is a great movie on its own, but I think it was a terrible adaptation. I understood from the get-go that the material was sensitive and that they wanted to kind of…censor…the anti-Catholicism themes, but many of the revisions seemed unnecessary. I’m not exactly familiar in how film making works, so maybe I should be more upset with the scriptwriter instead. However, I’m still really nervous, but I hope that my apprehension will be eased. Twilight isn’t nearly as controversial as His Dark Materials, so I’m hoping that this man’s genius (because The Golden Compass was genius in many ways) shines through and not the imperfections.
i realllyyy hope they dont mess the movie up in their attempts to get it out fast for money.
they need to deff consider quality over quantity
