Twilight on Freakonomics

Jan 14th, 2009 | By | Category: Book News, Featured Articles

Steven Levitt, the author behind one of my favorite books, Freakonomics, wrote about Twilight in his daily New  York Times blog of the same name!

“Although I will say I was somewhat disappointed with the book, an outside observer would laugh at that description, given that I readit in less than a week. My kids would remind me that I told them they would have to make their own dinner because I had to finish the book to find out whether Bella would turn into a vampire or not. I guess the fact that I ordered the other three books in the series from Amazon also gives me away.”

Haha, yeah. I’m like that too. I say I don’t like Breaking dawn, but I still read it in just under 7 hours, I had to break for dinner too! That was annoying XD.

Until the previews for the movie came out I’d only heard little things of Twilight, but not so much that it made me run out and get the book. That is, until I saw the preview , I knew one of my friends had the books. She told me that she only read the first couple of chapters but couldn’t really get into it, so she stopped reading. After I started I just HAD to keep reading! I went to work with blood-shot eyes because I stayed up reading all night, lol. I ended up reading the whole series and the part of Midnight Sun Stephenie put on her website in about 5 days. Convinced my friend that she had to start reading it again, and now she’s just as hooked as I am. Definitely an IRRESISTABLE series!!!!!

    XOXO
