New Moon/Eclipse Not Filming Back-to-Back?

Kristen Stewart talked to HitFix about her upcoming projects. In the interview she says that she will be filming “The Runaways” in between New Moon and Eclipse, which I guess means books 2 &3 won’t be filmed back-to-back. 🙁 But I’m sure we’ll get them in a timely manner!
“Yeah, that would be great,” Stewart says. “I like ‘Twilight,’ but the effect of it — it’s not hard to deal with, it’s just different.”
Stewart hasn’t had much of a break after the “Twilight” opening frenzy and publicizing “Adventureland.” Still, she says she’s excited to start work on the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon” in March.
“It’s a little daunting, but what’s even more daunting is I just got cast in a movie called ‘The Runaways.’ I am going to play Joan Jett in between ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse,'” Stewart says.”
i don;t think there’s gonna be too much of a gap in between the them
especially with the way summit’s been wanting to rush them out
Awww man, I hope that the scheduling with new moon and eclipse gives her enough time to make the runaways! She seems really excited about playing joan jett! And don’t get me wrong, I want to see the movies as fast as possible, but with rob already giving up his role in parts per billion, I just hope that the actors and actresses get to do the movies they want to do, ya know? And I know that’s not always possible, I just wish they wouldn’t have to give up other great roles. As much as I love twilight, I love the types of films that kristen acts in. And rob has had some pretty excellent films as well.
I don’t think Kristen gives a fart about the whole Twilight franchaise.
I agree with Molly. I think Kristen cares a great deal about the Twilight franchise, but she’s an actress, a good actress, and she deserves to be able to pursue other roles if she chooses to do so. I fear Summit will lose Kristen and Robert both if they “rush” the movies and later decide to make Breaking Dawn too. Both Kristen and Robert have talked about the other roles they’re looking forward to tackling, but Robert has already had to back out of one. Give these two a break. They’re only human after all!

i think that kristen cares a lot for the franchise, but she cAn’t give up thE rest of her life just to do twilight!
its cool i can wait! shes a great bella and deserves a break for her hard wrk…evn tho tht break is interupted by another movie haha! o well good luck kristen! ull b great!
Remember when Rob said he would be doing Parts Per Billion before New Moon??? It’s sad but… I think this is like the same thing w/ Kristen, I’m pretty sure if it takes up too much of her time it’ll fall through.

I think that they should totally change Bella. I find that there is something missing in her role when she played in Twilight. I find that she always looks terrified. That is just my opinion, i think they could of gotten someone better for Bella, and Edward for that matter. I find that he dosent really look the part. like when i read the book i thaight of someone goregos and more willing to make the movie. But i still loved the movie. i still hope that all 4 movies will be made tho, the books were amazzing!!!!
I HAVE 2 AGREE THAT AFTER TWILIGHT WAS SUCH A BIG SUCESS, THE CAST DON’T HAVE TIME 2 FILM OTHER PROJECTS. BECAUSE OF NEW MOON, ROB DROPPED OUT OF PARTS PER BILLION AND I’M STARTING 2 GET WORRIED THAT KRISTEN WILL DROP OUT OF THE RUNAWAYS WHICH I WAS LOOKING FORWARD 2 “PARTS” AND I’M EXCITED 4 THE RUNAWAYS. =( I SEE THAT THEY’RE RUSHING BECAUSE EDWARD IS YOUNG AND “17 4EVER” BUT, I THINK IT’S GETTING A LITTLE CRAZY, DON’T U THINK? ALSO, SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT IS STARTING 2 BE GREEDY LITTLE BITCHES AND I WANT 2 STOP EATING THEIR SHIT UP ANYMORE!
Believe me there will not a huge gap btwn the two. Summit wants to get the movies out as fast as they can. After all there are all about “milking the cow dry”
Ashley haha, agree, yea im pissed about Rob not being in parts per billion now esp. since hes been looking forward to working in it for a while but now becuz of Summit he has to be in New Moon more than the book requires him to be–to bad for Rob he said that one of the main reasons why he couldn’t wait to shoot New moon is because he wasn’t in it like at all but o well…
“We’re here for the fans, We will try our hardest at bringing your story to life blah blah..” PUH LEASE more like their here for the money and I thought WB was greedy.
Summit should try doing us a real favor and invest in some time into trying not to make a even more crappier movie than the last one–And b4 ppl get upset about me saying Twilight(movie) sucked, I can say that movie sucked by the fact that it is literally about to be used in film classes around the country(US)as an example of what NOT to do when filming a movie
Who cares if she cares BECAUSE HONESTLY ALOT OF THE FANS DON’T CARE ABOUT HER !!! SHE CAN GO AHEAD AND MAKE HER LIL MOVIES JUST FINISH OURS !!! SHE’S STILL COOL BUT I COULD CARE LESS FOR HER EITHER !!!
Even if they don’t film them back to back they will still have to film them pretty quick, they are after all Vampires and vampires don’t age unlike the actors that play them!!!!
I don’t care if they are too close together, just as long as the main characters Kristen and Rob stay on as Bella and Edward, when characters get switched out for whatever the reason it ruins series like this. So I guess all we care about is that they are filmed close enough together to keep them looking 17 and 18, as well as keeping the makers, Rob and Kristen’s interest in continuing with the same Bella and Edward as well. Although we would love all the Cullens to stay the same characters, I think we as fans can tolerate a little shift there if need be.
Also, BTW, Summit NEEDS to STICK MORE TO THE ACTUAL BOOK! Twilight as a movie sucked! The actors did a phenomenal job, and the movie was a good movie if you didn’t read the book, (my husband loved the movie and is sucked right in to the story, but I read the book and expresed to him what passion he missed and how rushed some of the happenings and emotions were) but for those of us who love Stephenie Meyer and how she writes, you should at least TRY to stay as close to the story as possible and not make up your own version. You have a very talented cast which you need to keep all of, but a rush rush movie. It didn’t need to be like that. Come on Summit, you can do better!
