News Roundup
Jan 21st, 2009 | By Krystal | Category: Featured Articles, Movie NewsReuters has an article on Kristen’s rise to fame!
“I grew up on a set,” she told Reuters at Sundance. “I don’t take it as seriously, and then at the same time I take it more seriously than anyone. It’s like a balance.”
The New York Times has an article on how yesterday’s inauguration effected the screening of Adventureland.
And finally, Variety reports on how the economy is taking its toll on the film industry.
“And the stars of “Twilight,” Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who are still in talks, will likely cash low-seven-figure upfront paychecks for sequel “New Moon.” They likely won’t, however, be allowed to sink their fangs into first-dollar gross as they hoped. That film’s financier, Summit, hasn’t yet paid first-dollar gross and sells off its foreign territories. One possible compromise is bonuses pegged to box office performance.”
Saw the trailer for Adventureland and Kristin has the same mannerisms as in Twilight. I don’t think she is a great actor at all. I have seen clips for Little Ashes and How to Be and Rob seems to have a much greater range of performances. I think my fav tho is Jackson Rathbone.
Becky I agree!!! In my opinion a true actor will morph themselves into each character differant mannerisms and all!! I thought Kristen Stewart was going to be better in Twilight then what she was. I don’t know maybe New Moon will be better? Not that I think she did horrible, I just think she could have done better.
