“With news that Dakota Fanning will meet with New Moon director Chris Weitz next week to formally discuss her being offered the role of vampire Jane in the Twilight sequel, it’s time for us to help Weitz find his Alec, Jane’s bloodsucker brother.”

isnt jane adn alec a darker skin color? didnt bella say that they had “an olive complexion” if im not mistaken….. if they have dakota/lucas play, it’ll be ALLLLL wrong…..they cant do taht…especially to stephenie… >:(
no to both! please! i think that they shouldn’t have the same kids who do everything in these movies. either the undescovered or unpopular should play jane and alec. this isn’t right. neither of them can be evil enough.

I have complete faith in Dakota’s acting ability, although she’s not at all what I pictured Jane to be. I think having that caliber of actors is a positive and, in my opinion, would have helped make for a better first movie. Do I want this to turn into a teeny-boppy Disney freak-fest? Absolutely not! Dakota has proven she’s the real deal. But if I see one HSM kid cast I am boycotting Twilight forever!!!
No! They CANNOT put Dakota Fanning in as Jane!!! I liked how in Twilight they had all actors who were undiscovered, until that movie! It would ruin it if they put Dakota Fanning or Lucas in! Same with if they had Vanessa Hudgens or Brenda Song playing Leah Clearwater. They should totally keep putting undiscovered actors/actresses in!
ok think that dakota would be great for the part because she has been in all sorts of movies and done an great job….like in war of the worlds,and in a lot of other movies…but on the other hand…we dont even know how old they are…..all it tells you is that they are very young…i pictured jane around 13 and i pictured alec around 5 or 6 years older so around 18 or 19 years old……so i say YES to dakota….
for the high school muscial guy i say 100% no!!! he is too happy and purky i dont think he could ever be mean….and plus i hate high school musical..i is a copy cat in a way of grease……..
i can’t really picture either of them as nasty, cruel vampires. lucas has the hsm thing in my head, and i don’t think he’d be able to be very serious. there’s always some sort a smile on his face, and that doesn’t work for that. maybe dakota….i haven’t really watched the movies with her in them. i don’t really want either of them

dakota has been confirmed to be Jane, i think its awesome because i really like her movies, but about lucas(yuck) i mean he has not vampiric characteristics, and he DOESNT scares anyone. he is so not right for alec, and he is 2 old 4 the role.
Do any of you read properly? It’s clearly stated in the books that Alec and Jane are young. Dakota is perfect.
