‘Twilight’ sequel brings producers back to Kalama

The Daily News is reporting that Twilight producers, along with director Chris Weitz, visited Kalama High School last week, the high school location used in Twilight. (Photo courtesy of Twilight Extremists).
“The whole point of the trip was to show Chris Weitz all the locations they used up here in the Northwest,” Sutton said.
The visit was short, and moviemakers didn’t commit to filming at the school again, Sutton said. It’s possible they shot enough footage during the filming of “Twilight” last spring to supply the sequel, he noted.
If additional footage is requested, “they would need to start shooting at the end of March or early April,” Sutton said.”
hmm… so they’re going to use same scenes from Twilight in New Moon? What about all the scenes at school? like Bella being depressed and stuff?

Ummm, thats dumb. They need to reshoot ALL of it. And are they just going to interrupt school? I guess they did it last time…
last time they filmed during spring break or something. it only took a week.
i think he means that they have enough for outside shots
they might just do the school scenes in a sound stage or they might not have her in school at all.
they might have worked the script so that when she talks to her friends, it’s outside of school.
Lol, Guys Im fairly sure that they filmed ALOT of takes of the school location, most or which were not used in the movie because it wasnt right for the scene. Their not going to use THE SAME shots from twilight in new moon, it would just be shots from the previous filming of twilight. Not reusing the exact same shots.
Its not a big deal, it would just be to show that they were at school. And its probably a good thing. If the reuse preious peices of film it would save time and money.

well all i have to say is that some people need to think more about twilight…i think that summit should film at a school, and i dont care which one. Maybe they would only show the inside of it.

I would be surprised if they use shots from the old director. I can’t image anything would be the same style as this new director.
He has a whole different style as far as I can tell, and the shaky camera, and grainy looks my not translate well to what he chooses to do.

i dont think they will reuse footage.i think he means that they shot a lot of extra scenes that never made it into the movie and he could use some of those. but for the months were bella is all “depressed” they will need some scences of her looking depressed in class and lunch… to show time progression and i hardly think that the footage from twilight would portray that. i mean why would catherine hardwick have told kristen stewart to act depressed, it fit no where in twilight so those type of scens would not be among that footage from twilight.
I was going on here to see if I could find a filming time for the Kalama (Forks HS) filming for New Moon. I’m live only 35 miles away from there. I also only live about 20 or 25 miles from where they filmed Edward and Bella in the tree in Twilight. They were in my hood…
last time they came to kalama, we all had to change our daily schedules to fufil their every need. They interrupted our entire school, and it was stupid.
the guy who played edward was smoking right outside one of my classrooms and I was the only one not smitten enough to care about telling him off. The entire class was thrown off and went spiraling into a discussion about how much his ciggarette butt would sell for on ebay. 🙁
we all hated it so please please use the old footage!!!
