‘New Moon’ Art and Official Title Revealed

MTV has a photo of the New Moon logo here!
“As for the logo itself, Weitz has chosen to stay with the lowercase lettering, personable font and light-streaks-poking-through look of last year’s hit film. In switching from blue to orange, the movie’s upcoming posters will be instantly distinguishable from those of the original “Twilight” – which should make them look a whole lot cooler when teenage girls all over the world add them to their walls. The presence of orange also begs a new question: Now that blue and orange are taken, which colors should be used for “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn”?”

I really like it, I love the colors. I admit when I heard there was something to be revealed tonight, this wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for. But it’s great.

It’s cute… it is kinda just like Twilight but with diffrent letters, but I guess they have to do that with all of the movies if they film all of them… 😀
Its cool, and yea “twilight saga” should be smaller. And I was thinking white for eclipse and red (or yellow) for breaking dawn. I think yellow would have worked for new moon as well. I can’t freakin wait til I start getting some clips from you tube again on new moon!

I’m thinking that the cover may not include Edward, or if it does, it will be a faint shadow in the backround. This book/movie is going to be more focused on Bella and Jacob, so I’m thinking it’s going to be them on the cover, along with a wolf (of course). Don’t get me wrong, I’m Team Edward, but I don’t see him being in the foreground on this one.
Ooooooooohh – so exciting. Love the orange, the whole warm werewolves look. We think Eclipse should be red – because of the battle. Breaking Dawn should either be red because Bella’s a vampire or white because people think of Renesmee as being an angel. Also at the end of the book it’s got a peaceful atmosphere about it – Edward and Bella get to be with eachother forever.

well it wasnt what i expected but i still am in love with it… i love the color change (it is very werewolf!) and for the actual cover i do hope that it is bella and jacob with edward faintly in the back… i am team jacob and this is really his movie to shine and stand out… i hope that this movie will make more people convert to team jacob 🙂 i think that for the next two movies covers that eclipse should be red and breaking dawn white!!!! i really like how the new director changed the color…. as subtle as the change was i really like it and i think it was a creative idea! i haev a feeling this movie will be better than the 1st!

I think the cover should show edward and jacob equally one each side of bella…with edwards family behind him and jacobs pack of wolfs behind him. Just because Edward leaves doesn’t make him or Bella love each other any less…Jacob just helps her get through the time without him…thats why I think they should both be there, afterall she chooses Edward no matter what…i think alot of people would get very mad if Edward wasn’t on the cover…haha including my self!
I’m love Smitten’s idea for the cover with Edward, Bella, Jacob, and the family/wolf pack in the back. Really I’m sure I’ll love whatever they come out with. I’m so hyped about it all, is it November yet?!?
OK OK I have to share this, because I get so much slack around here from some people about being a 25 year old completely in love with these books and movies. They just can’t understand how it reaches people of all ages. WELL.. I found out last night that my grandma, 75 years old, is reading the series. She’s about mid-way through Eclipse, and completely in love with it, you have no idea how happy I was to hear this!!!!! She told me she just cannot put them down, which I’m sure we were all like that, I definitely was!

i like how its parallel to the “twilight” logo, they should definatly keep that look.
i definalty think eclipse should be some kind of red, like a rusty color, LIKE JACOB’S WOLF COAT! wow im amazing haha
and breaking dawn should be a kind of silver or blue, like a calming color.
the poster should show maybe edward kind of in the backgroud, with his body turned away but his head turned towards bella. bella in front and jacob closer to her, he could be reaching out towards her. totally for symbolism, though!

I like Lori’s idea, Smitten’s is good too but there would be too many people on it. I think Eclipse should be red just because it’s the color I always picture when I think of the book because of the red ribbon. Breaking Dawn should be white because it would represent sunlight and again because of the cover

I definately love the color! And I think Eclipse should be red, and Breaking Dawn, white. I don’t know if I have specific reasons, but I just get vibes in colors and I think those fit.
It’s ok. I don’t know why “the twilight” is in the back though. I do like the colors, but I was thinking it would be more like the cover of New Moon. So red and white with maybe the flower on it. Oh well it’s cute. 🙂

I think that the orange for New Moon was awesome! But i still think they should’ve used a different color. Like white or something… but I like how it looks! For Eclipse I think they should have red.(because of the ribbon on the cover, and the fight with the vampires) And for Breaking Dawn I think they should use silver… or white too. Also, I like your idea Amanda! But not with the naked part… sorry. Oh, also I got my Language Arts teacher obsessed with Twilight too! She used to make fun of me for liking it so much, but then when I lent her my copy of the first one, the next day she didn’t tell me that she didn’t like it (like I thought she would) instead she said. “All right, cough it up sister” And I asked her, “Cough up what?” by the way, I carry all my Twilight series books with me EVERYWHERE! And she knows that. “Cough up New Moon!” So I gave that one and all the other ones too! And now, she is a Twilight freak… just like me! And she is 39 – almost 40 – years old!

I think they should definatly go with a deep red for breaking dawn and as for eclips,

I think Eclipse should have red mostly because of the ribbon on the front cover. For Breaking Dawn maybe just like a silver or white because of the chess piece on the font cover.

I’m really curious as to what the movie poster is going to be for New Moon. I think it would be cool if Jacob and Bella were standing in the foreground, Jacob towering over Bella with his hands on her shoulders, looking down at her fondly. Bella’s head would be turned to the side, gazing at Edward in the background.
Just a thought.

Wow, that looks cool! I LOVE the way they did the color and the font, and the cresent moon at the bottom is awesome. I’m not sure how I feel about them putting ‘The Twilight Saga’ in front of the title, but I guess it makes it easier for people who are oblivious to the Twilight world to connect the dots for the movies. Two thumbs up.
As for the colors for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, I think Eclipse should be black and red, and BD should be a pale ice white.
it’s best if it matches the Twilight one, Eclipse should be red as people have suggested above and Breaking Dawn should be pale blue or white.
I hope they will add a pic like they did for twilight!!!!! Saga maybe that means they are planning on making all 4

i dont like the “twilight saga” thing on the top of the logo and the logo is the same writing as the first movie (Twilight)
