Chris Weitz Will Not Direct Eclipse

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Chris Weitz will not direct Eclipse due to the short gap between filming.
“Weitz will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will be shooting. That said, the source confirms a report that the movies will not be shot simultaneously or back-to-back; there will be a brief gap between the production of both films.”
I wish they would pick a director. All of the movies are gonna be so diffeent from each other.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I think that they need to keep him cuz i think he will do a great job with new moon and i think that he would do a great job with Eclipse.If they can get him to do both even if they have to push back new moon coming out that is fine with me cuz i want to see great moives rather than rushed ones!

I think it may be a good thing. Each book in the Twilight Saga is so diffrent and I think it may be the best thing if each movie has a different director.
Okay, I’m a little disappointed that it looks like all 4 movies might be done by different directors. I was really excited when I heard that Chris Weitz was doing new moon. Especially seeing what was done with the polar bears in the Golden Compass. I just hope Summit knows what they are doing and don’t screw up the films.
hmmm…well they could always hire catherine to come back and direct Eclipse. that way all the movies wouldn’t have a different director.

i think its a good idea to have different directors for series movies like this and harry potter. as long as they don’t get alfonso curon for it. he really did screw up the third film with those 20’s style iris blackouts.
Chris Weitz looks like a squished Billy Burke, like what BB would look like if an elephant sat on him. random? yes. what i think about the article: i don’t care. whatever. just give us good directors.

i agree with the comment above the director thing is giving me whiplash ….. ugh i really liked chris weitz as the director especially because he is great with the animal special effects…. hopefully the next director could take what he does with the wolves (if its good) and use it again.
I think it’s better if each director is different cuz then each one puts more effort and they all end up looking really well done!
Jesus Christ! Seriously, can’t they stick with one director? The difference in the filming techniques will vary so much in every movie! Of course, many people wont take notice of this factor, but still! GAH! *Huffs*

I wish they would stop switching directors. Harry Potter did it and they did it fine but I think Twilight should STOP SWITCHING DIRECTORS!
