Kristen Talks New Moon, Confronts Recent Comments

When asked what she thought about the bad press she’s been getting in the wake of her Nylon interview, Stewart is adamant that her words are being taken out of context—professing, believably might I add—to having nothing but the utmost respect and care for the Twilight story and situation as a whole. “I love the Twilight fans. I have literally never said anything remotely negative about them,” she told us.
So all the hullaballoo? She attributed that to learning the ropes about what is going to read in print and what isn’t. “You have to stay away from certain key words that can be twisted in a negative connotation. Like the word ‘psychotic’ apparently is really bad,” she said, provoking laughter around the table.
“I feel like it’s a really humble position to take that it’s not normal—you know what I mean?—to find yourself in a situation where there are 5,000 screaming girls. I feel like that’s not normal and it’s not something I should just say, ‘Oh yeah, it’s really cool, I love them,’” she continued. “I feel like everything I said in that Nylon interview, if you actually read the whole thing, was very honest and genuine and talking about something that I am so immersed in and I have absolutely no control over. And I’m just trying to stay honest and true to something that I care about.”

I love Kristen, always have. She’s a fun-loving girl that is just upfront about everything. I like it when people are just straight upforward with situations. She’s trying to stay true to herself in a hollyworld world thats all about the superficial. I hate that everyone has been so quick to judge. She’s a great Bella and I can’t wait to see what she brings to the other Twilight movies!

I say stuff all the time that people take the wrong way. it happens to lots of people but nobody understands when you try to tell them that thats not what i meant.

Plus, cake eaters looks like a good movie. I’m gonna have to bug my local art-house theaters for viewings

I can see where she’s coming from, and I’m sure it’s all unbalancing. She definitely has to choose her words wisely, everything can be misconstrued. I stand by my original assessment of her though, there’s just something about her nonchalant attitude towards everything that throws me off. I don’t dislike her, but I’m definitely not a fan. Whether her words were taken out of context or not, the whole interview with nylon struck a chord with me.

I felt like there might be more to that interview. But one never knows. Lets all quit putting to much into the actors, they are humans after all.

Sounds like the article was probably twisted out of context a bit, but I also bet she got a talking to from her managers and from Summit. Sort of like Rob did about the hair?
Even if there is an article(s) that clears things up and put things in a rational and understanding perspective, I’m sure that there are many twilight fans who hate Kristen enough to stick with their opinions and insist that Kristen is a [insert mean word here]. Too many psychology classes tells me that this is a real and bad case example of the concept of “self-fulfilling prophecy”. Go look it up girlies who are Kristen haters.
I don’t even see why Kristen bothers clearing things up. People who are mature enough will learn to understand to never trust tabloids/gossip. Kristen, I hope you know there are many girls who DO support you!!~
