Shes now gonna get all stuck up and stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 And no offense to her but she cant play Jane it just doesnt fit right!!! I hate this!! Its a bad idea Summitt now has to pay 1 million even before they start filiming just to have her and more!!!!!!
I cant say im suprised, I mean the rumours of this have been around for so long, and Dakota said she wanted it to work out. I am still kinda disappointed though. Nothing against her as an actress, but she just isnt Jane to me.
Also, i agree with fally wally, i think shes probably taken up a big chunk of the budget, for a small part and i think the money could have been saved for something else.

yay! maybe her presence will make the other actors be on their game a bit more. u know, take their roles a little bit more seriously!! i am happy she is on and she very talented for someone her age. when she was like 4 and did I am sam, i cried during the TRAILER!!! come one! then on Man on Fire! Hello, no other young star could have gone toe to toe with Denzel Washighton!!!

I’m excited. I think she’ll do a great job. And seriously guys, how can you say she will get “all stuck up and stuff”? I didnt know you could see the future. Give her a chance to actually PLAY Jane until you trash her. She is a tremendous actress, but I am kinda worried about how much it will cost. Everybody is so judgmental of her already because it doesnt fit “you’re image”. Just calm down first and give the girl a chance to prove everyone wrong.
i’m actually very excited! i love dakota! i think she’ll be great, she’s an amazing actress. and i absolutely disagree that this is gonna make her “all stuck up” because she’s probably one of the most down-to-earth young actresses of our time. i agree with erica, you can’t be so judgmental when you haven’t even seen it yet. i think she’ll do amazing. she has this presence when she’s acting and to have her play one of the bad guys will be interesting and entertaining to watch. yayyy!!!!

They need to spend there money on more important things like the special effects am I the only one that is the least bit interested in seeing how they are going to make Taylor Launter become a werewolf? Honestly I dont think that Dakota Fanning is ‘JANE’ she cant possibly be Jane everytime I think of Dakota Fanning I think Uptown Girls but even now that I see pictures of her she doesnt look like Jane. She is amazing actress without a doubt but I cant see her as Jane.
I thought they were going to bring in someone new like they did for Twilight with Robert Pattinson, or Jackson Rathbone, or Kellan Lutz, or Ashley Greene, or Nikki Reed, or Kristen Stewart. I mean some of the people from Twilight were people you had heard of but not really recognized, and I think Dakota Fanning is to big to be in New Moon

I feel in a way people are being a little selfish when it comes to who is being cast. I mean if she was cast, obviously Stephenie Meyer is happy with it, and if Mrs Meyer is that’s all that counts because in the end it is HER vision that we fell in love with and if she approves then hey it must be working out to what she wanted. I’m happy for her, some people are upset because she didn’t read the books until she heard about being cast in the movie, but that’s pretty much what happened to everyone who was cast in the film.
I agree with Lauren!! FIRST off, we don’t know how much she is getting paid yet! She might take a cut in her normal pay to play the smaller part. SECOND, if SM agrees, I am willing to give her a chance. THIRD, they haven’t said if they are makeing BD, and ALL actors will be older, and they will look older. LASTLY, not that I am saying she is or will be the best choice for Jane, but lets giver her a chance!! Not everyone (infact a lot of people) were not thrilled about RP being Edward, but look how that turned out. Not to many people can imagin someone better. Perhaps DF will end up doing such a terrific job that she completely blows us away. Again just give the girl a chance before you count her out.
hey, to all you people who think that shes gonna be horrible, think about what people’s reactions were when rob was casted. it was much much much muchhhh worse than this reaction… and look at what happened now??? everyone thinks hes amazing for the role. so just think about it. just because dakota isnt what some people pictured doesn’tmean she wont do great. there isn’t one single person out there that matches peoples thoughts. its almost impossible to do that. and you know what, i think she’ll do an amazing job as jane. shes not what i pictured, but im 10000000000% ok with that. there isn’t one person on this planet that matches my description of jane. so all you people that are hating dakota, deal with it. its just a movie. not the end of the world. GET OVER IT.

I think she will do a great job! I am looking forward to seeing her in the part, but i have to be honest, in the book jane has an extremely small part. Yes, she’ll be back for eclipse & breaking dawn, but again not big parts. Still, i think she will be fantastic. She’s the perfect size and her face is exactly how i’ve pictured Jane.

Okay, I’m not the happiest person in the world right now. I really don’t think she’s Jane. Don’t get me wrong, I think she’s a great actress, but she is soooo not right for this part.
I think Jane should have been a non hollywood person, a non popular person would have done a lot better in the role.
I also agree with #6. New Moon has a tiny budget and if they want to do a good job with all the special effects (werewolves, sparkling…cause that was so not up to par in Twilight) they should not spend so much money on such a small role.

The better the first two movies are, the better the chance of the following books coming out sooner and better. Get over it, she’s a great actor who can portray Jane’s character.
