Who Do You Want To See Direct Eclipse?
Mar 11th, 2009 | By Krystal | Category: Featured Articles, Movie NewsMTV wants to know your pick to direct Eclipse. Do you like Drew Barrymore? Paul Weitz? Someone else not mentioned?
“Kellan Lutz also helped add to the mystery when he told us earlier this week that he believed a male director had briefly held the “Eclipse” job, but had dropped out, leaving the chair wide open. Who could that have been? To be honest, with the way bargaining and schedule conflicts happen overnight in Hollywood, that mystery man could even be one of the names we’re discussing right now. Or he could even be backin the running!”
I pick whom ever they feel is the best for the job. I am to well trained in movie making so even if I might have a few opinions thats just what they are. I am really exicted to see what CW will do with NM!!!
***I am NOT well trained … HAHA lol
They said that they might get the horror director of “The Orphanage”, Juan Antonio Bayona. Personally, I’d love to see him behind the camera!! He’d do AWESOME work!!!
i want to see how chris weitz does first. i guess having a fresh view for each film will be interesting but i think we have to think of the book too. Eclispe is far more action based than the others in the end but also the relationship between bella, edward and jacob are vital to the story and how the plot develops so maybe a director that has a real talent with capturing character relationships. they have to have a very visual eye like catherine had because by then they are having to bring in the romance that catherine has developed in twilight and the relationship between jacob and bella that chris is hopefully building up.
good luck to who ever takes it on and hopefully the fans will be welcoming. lol
i want Paul Weitz!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think if Chris does a great job in New Moon then he should be asked to do Eclipse, and if not, keep it in the genes: Paul Weitz should do it. Drew, sadly, is way too popular and will steal the thunder from our well loved vamps. Its not a fair choice, and neither is the “Hellboy” director’s protege… That’s a downer! He’s a spanish film director so I think it’d be a little awkward.
NOT drew!!!!! she is an actress, and would try to make it waaaaaaaaay to sweet!! i vote paul weitz, or any one else really
idk who i want yet.
ME!
again Juan Antonio Bayona is amazing. I know alot of the twilight fans proly havent seen the orphanage and it is creepy but it is beautiful!!! I would love it if they let him direct!
Not Drew Barrymore not drew not drew not drew not drew!!!!!!
Jean-Pierre Jeunet (director of Amelie, City of Lost Children, and A Very Long Engagement)
