10 Ways To Make New Moon Awesome
Mar 12th, 2009 | By Krystal | Category: Featured Articles, Movie NewsBuddy TV has a list of ways to make New Moon into a movie that is as great as the book, which you can see here!
The proposal.
This is the one moment that can make this movie the New Moon of our dreams. Although Edward is just telling Bella he will only turn her into a vampire if she marries him first, the sentiments are very real. He’s just caused her an immense amount of pain by leaving her and his redemption must be more than sweet. The vampire / marriage discussion is paramount to the way viewers will feel about Edward and Bella by the end of the movie.
I believe they will really have to convince us in a short time how much these too are so bound to each other.
It would be too easy to think, come on girl get over it, unless you know the bond they have. I felt like in Twilight the movie they did not quite get that, and this is what New Moon was hanging on. The viewers are going to have to be convince that he needs to come back. When I was reading New Moon it was so painful, it was the hardest to read, but yet, looking back, is the most poignant .
…and really, get rid of those jerky vampire moves. They are going to have to be way cooler 😉
I definitely agree with you Kim. I feel like in the first movie they kind of skipped past all of the stuff that proved how much in love Edward and Bella were. It was like, they meet, he leaves, he comes back and talks to her like twice, and then she says she is in love with him. Explaining why Bella is such a mess during New Moon could be difficult. I definitely also agree that reading New Moon was painful! I literally read it completely through just so I could get it over with (and I’ll admit I peeked at the end to make sure Edward came back, so that I had a reason to finish it).
I agree with you guys. I have a question about #8: they were saying to replace the romantic moments with edward with the friendship moments with alice, but alice wouldnt be there either so…
I want to feel Bella’s pain when Edward leaves her. I want to see her friendship with Jacob but still hurt for Edward. To me those are the best moments of the book.
I agree ladies -New Moon is all about Bella’s pain & her coping or not coping with Edward leaving her.
I don’t think it will come across the same in the movie from the book. It’s gut wrenchingly tragic & I guess they are counting on the audience having known the pain of a break up? I will be interested to see what my non twilight friends think of the movie having not read any of the books.
hey everyone… i enjoyed the top ten… but what i’m really loving is this movie still… both rob and kristen look GORGEOUS!!!!! ahh!!!!!!! please say so if you agree!!!!!! yayy!!!!!!
Yay for that list! I agree with almost all of the points. I think numbers ten and two are the most important. If they don’t show that Victoria is a threat people who haven’t read the books will be super confused when she’s suddenly the super bad girl in Eclipse. And the Volturi will be so awesome if they do a good job making them scary.
i’m so excited to see the cast list. all the volturi and the werewolves are so important to the movie. that’s one thing that would make the movie awesome. super important.
kim is so right , she truley understands the way i feel i think there needs to be a way that edward can prove the way he feels about bella not that he doesn’t prove it in the book but like kim said the most important romantic key relationship that edward and bella had wasn’t seen in the movie i mean i loved the movie but i felt like they sort of held out alot of the secret relationship feelings edward has for bella, most of the time in the movie edward is mean to bella and quiet in the book it gets to the part were everybody say’s ”wow, how can forbidden love get any better than this”. I just hope they get the chance to make the fans happy with newmoon rather than twilight.
