Rob On The New Moon Soundtrack?

It seems that Rob is down-playing speculation that he might be included on the New Moon soundtrack! Here is some of what he had to say, thanks to Digital Spy, and our always-fabulous Fan of the Month, Andy 🙂
“I don’t think [I will be on the soundtrack] this time. It’s still early on, but there are so many people that might be on it.
“The last one did so well, so loads of bands want to go on it. Bands that I would never ever have thought would be on a soundtrack I think are going to be on it this time.”
Coldplay are the latest band to have hinted at a possible New Moon offering, while the Jonas Brothers have also expressed an interest in contributing a track.”

I’m all for coldplay but not the Jonas Brothers. I swear if they are on it I’m boycotting the soundtrack.
Amanda, Deejay, and Hayley i know i hate them like so much the only one i like is nick not even, but if they come out on the soundtrack i will freak out crying no Jonas brothers! us big fans don’t think there kind of music fits my new moon and well… our new moon!

if they know what’s good for them, they’ll put an RP track on there.
to clarify, i would’ve never bought the soundtrack to twilight if he weren’t on it, and i know plenty of people that thought the rest of the soundtrack was crap except for his songs, so…. to line their pockets, they would do well to put him on there.

anyway, i think coldplay being on it would be awesomeeee. i love coldplay!
as for the jonas brothers…i do love them but i’m afraid they don’t really fit the whole vibe for twilight. but if they were on it whatever it’s not like i’m not gonna buy the soundtrack regardless

If Summit knows what’s good for them they will NOT put them on. I think that Coldplay would be a nice addition to the soundtrack. But yeah Jonas Brothers PLEASE!

YES YES YES to Coldplay – they’re awesome, and even more perfect seeing as they inspired some of Stephenie’s writing.

NO! NO! NO! They can’t have the Jonas Brothers on there! NO DISNEY! It doesn’t fit Twilight at all. And I’m all for the odd popular band/song being on their but I don’t know about coldplay.
I think most of the songs on their should be unknown like with Twilight. It kept the tone right and the indie-ish feel of the first movie.
And I’d love another R-Pattz song I love his music so much even if it aint for everyone. I love it 😀
Ditto on everyone who says no Jonas Brothers. Lets face it…the Twilight soundtrack only did as well as it has because of Rob’s music. Srsly, I don’t even listen to most of the other songs. They are too teen like and I’m not a teen. Rob’s music sold it, Paramore and Iron & Wine made it even better. The rest? I could have done without.

Ok, this has nothing to do with the post, but I just watched the New Moon trailer again and it looks like Rob is wearing the same thing during the birthday scene and when he breaks up with Bella, yet she looks to have changed. Any ideas why?

I would almost want it more close to what Stephanie was listening to while writing it- did anyone every catch Marjorie Fair which she listened to while writing the break up scene. I think they should concentrate on music that fits the mood of the movie and not popularity or who might want on the soundtrack.
Be true to the story and honor the fans- is that too much to ask?

Anyone who isnt really into having the Jonas Brothers on the NM soundtracks schould check out the podcast IMPRINT episode #13 I think on itunes it has jonas brothers in the title. About 12 minutes into the podcast the song skit begins in a nut shell it’s amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! … it talks about Jacobs hot bod. lol anyways hat kinda sums up how i feel on having them on the soundtrack. LOVE Rob though
I love Coldplay, so I wouldn’t mind seeing them on the soundtrack. But no Jonas Brothers. I hope they do include another one of Rob’s songs. He’s the reason I bought the last one.

i think it would be cool, to have to of my favorite things in the world besides tst podcast, together. if you listen to some of their lyrics it has resemblance of meaning from the break up and many more scenes in the book. alot people would by the cd because alot of people like the JONAS BROTHERS.

No to the Jonas Brothers and YES TO COLDPLAY ! Sorry I like some of the Jonas brothers songs but it’s just not good enough for OUR TWILIGHT SERIES !
The Jonas Brothers had the number one CD and what’s your point ? Alot of bands make it there but it doesn’t mean their amazing. And yes I think with time the Jonas brother will get better but where their at .. Disney and pop music IT’S NOT FOR TWILIGHT THAT’S WHAT PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SAY ! We know these books better than anyone and the their music doesn’t fit even if the lyrics are right.

Rob’s music is amazing and they should have him on the soundtrack again, but it’s his decision. I agree with everyone who doesn’t want the Jonases on the soundtrack. My analogy: it’s like eating a delicious chocolate bar, then biting into a skittle- a discusting, rotten skittle. They don’t have the right sound for Twilight, when I think of Twilight I think rock, darker kinds of music, not bubble gum pop. Coldplay yes. Rob yes. I will be extremely upset if Paramore isn’t of the soundtrack but the jonas brothers are.

I think the New Moon soundtrack is going to be good, there are so many songs that describe the raw emotions Bella feels. Bands like Coldplay, Muse etc would be a credit to the soundtrack. I really think that the song Shiver, or Fix You by Coldplay would be appropriate in someplace. It would be cool if Robert Pattinson could co-write a song for the soundtrack, he is very good at projecting passion and emotion in his voice; it isn’t always cear what he’s saying but nobody is perfect anyone who suggests they are suffers from blindness.

I could go for ColdPlay they have some pretty good stuff but the Jonas Brothers? yuck. Lets leave them in the Disney section where they belong.
Not the Jonas Brothers – they are not exactly New Moon material, the tone of this film is completely different. I would love some more Rob on the soundtrack! Coldplay would be awesome, but i think Snow Patrol would be 1000x better! xx

NOOO, THE JONAS BROTHERS WILL NOT BE ON THE SOUNDTRACK, they are good for up-beat disney movies, and new moon isn’t one of them. i don’t think anyone would want them one this soundtrack.

You have to think about the younger twilight group there is more of them than 40 year old moms but us kids and some teens actually like the Jonas Brothers so think about how it would make other people happy to have them on the soundtrack . And yeah im 12!
I am in agreement with most…the Jonas Brothers just aren’t New Moon Material. Personally, I don’t think Cold Play is either. I am leaning more towards R. Patz or even leaning towards Kings of Leon or Thriving Ivory.
I think Rob’s song “Never Think”, that was on the sound track would be perfect again during the time in the woods when Bella is wandering after Edward breaks up with her. The words are hard to understand on the soundtrack, but you can download the lyrics, and they’re perfect! …”Girl, save your soul..Before it’s too far gone. And before nothing can be done. ” ‘Cause without me, you got it all. So hold on…”. They could definitely use it again, it was so muted behind the Twilight restaurant conversation. His stuff is great, wish someone would think soon about signing him for a CD.
I LOVED the soundtrack!!! The feel was perfect in my opinion. Not that I hate the JoBros but they are not suited for Twilight and NOT NM, NM is to dark. I would love to have some more RP for the NM soundtrack.
What was wrong with Paramore abd Muse, etc… They were GREAT on Twilight, why mess up a good thing?Rob you should also consider doing New Moon music you’ve got a talent , that more people need to hear about.
Please, absolutely NO Jonas Brothers. I like how the last soundtrack had indie artists that for the most part, were not over played.
