THE HOLLOW by Jessica Verday!
When Abbey’s best friend, Kristen, vanishes at the bridge near Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, everyone else is all too quick to accept that Kristen is dead?and rumors fly that her death was no accident. Abbey goes through the motions of mourning her best friend, but privately, she refuses to believe that Kristen is really gone. Then she meets Caspian, the gorgeous and mysterious boy who shows up out of nowhere at Kristen’s funeral, and keeps reappearing in Abbey’s life. Caspian clearly has secrets of his own, but he’s the only person who makes Abbey feel normal again…but also special. Just when Abbey starts to feel that she might survive all this, she learns a secret that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her best friend. How could Kristen have kept silent about so much? And could this secret have led to her death? As Abbey struggles to understand Kristen’s betrayal, she uncovers a frightening truth that nearly unravels her—one that will challenge her emerging love for Caspian, as well as her own sanity.

It is the first in a young adult fiction trilogy set in an alternate-history World War I involving living airships, and the main character will be the teenage son of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, and his love interest will be a cross-dressing Scottish girl.

Great picks! I have to say, the one I can’t wait to see hit the shelves is The Hollow. 1st in a trilogy and incredibly moving in ARC form, I can’t wait to see the interiors in person. I’ve been holding my breath for the new twist on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow for what feels like FOR-EVER. And full disclosure (as the author’s husband, I’ve been living and breathing THE HOLLOW for more than two years, to see it be so close to publication is an incredibly moving experience, I’m very proud of Jessica-she did a great job with this.) Thanks so much for sharing this with everyone on here.
I’ve very much been keeping an eye on Catching Fire, the buzz has been phenomenal and I’m hoping to get to read The Hunger Games really soon. Leviathan also sounds very cool, I really like the cover and can’t wait to read an actual steam-punk novel.
Haha Guys, Lee Verday is the Jessica Verdays husband, you can follow him on twitter at @leeaverday Hes really cool!
