Chris Weitz Talks Breaking Dawn

The Hollywood Reporter has a new interview with director Chris Weitz, who discusses the Twilight franchise and whether he will be around to direct “Breaking Dawn!”
“THR: Is it true you have an offer to direct the fourth “Twilight” movie?
Weitz: No official offer has been made. The fans have been enthusiastic about the footage and the trailer, and the studio responds to that by feeling good about me. We’ll have to see how people feel about the entire movie, not only the studio but the fans, before the verdict is out whether I direct Number 4. David Slade is doing a great job on the third film, and by the time that comes out, he’ll be the flavor of the moment.”
They should get a new director for Breaking Dawn, just to keep the tradition going. 🙂

As the 4th will be have some romantic scenes and less fights and slaughters I think Chris Weitz would be perfect. I can´t really imagine Slade with the wedding and the baby…

I really like Chris Weitz’s attitude about the series. From the interviews and clips he seems to really understand how the fans veiw this story. We will see after New Moon comes out, but I have a feeling it will be great. I also love the cartoon picture of him. It makes me laugh!
I’m sure New Moon will be great because Chris Weitz is fantastic. I think he would be a great director for Breaking Dawn too.
I think that the Fourth book would be amazing to do!!!!! Can you imagine Renesmee??? Anyway I think they should wait for new moon and the responce to eclipse before they make decisions. For my favourite book I want them to do better than ever!!! Thanks Guys!!!
Oh and Mary… I think that David Slade would not be good at the Romantic bits either but can you imagine the Baby!!!!(horror and Gore) Maybe Weitz and Slade should work together!!!!!
But I am a little worried about Eclipse…. Weitz has stayed on the path Catherine wanted it to go and I just worry that Slade may bring a whole new approach…. I don’t know….
