very excited to see this! I love Kristen and think she is an incredible actress.
It will be nice to see Kristen play such a different role. I haven’t seen her in anything like this before.
Well I’m excited to see the movie, only because of the subject matter. I just hope Kristen reaches down and finds a way to not make this yet another role she stutters and mumbles through. Sorry it just kills me that she does that in EVERY movie she’s in…. I can’t stand it!
Jess, I throughly disagree that Kristen is an incredible actress. She has a LOOOOOONG way to go before she earns that title. Not to mention a wide range of emotions she needs to learn to portray on screen.
As much as I’m excited to see Kristen play the high energy Joan Jett, of equal interest is going to see Dakota Fanning play Cherie Currie. The film is based on Cherie Currie’s *Neon Angel* book. It will be exciting to see both actresses try to play this type of role, and experience the intent of the film itself, which is supposed to be about the price of quick fame and the lessons it may teach.
I AGREE WITH AMY KATHRYN!!!!
She shakes her head like crazy when shes a character in a movie, no matter what it is. She was better when she was a child than she is now.
Curse Catherine Hardwicke for picking such a horrible actress to play the fantastic Bella!!!!
come on people, kristen is a great actress!
bella is supposded to be like that! she always mumbles and stuff! she has flaws like anyone, bella isnt perfect, and neither is kristen, but that doesnt make her a bad actress!
Oh, God! I’m so sick and tired of people complaining about Kristen’s acting skills.
Get over it, people. I’ve seen bad actresses, and Kristen is not one of them. People need to understand that Bella Swan is an average girl with not very much emotion, and Kristen brought exactly that to the movie. And she does NOT mumble and stutter in every movie she has done!!! Did you not see Speak or Adventureland??? She did great in those films!
Oh, and I am also sick and tired of people only noticing Kristen and Dakota for being in the Twilight Saga.
I don’t think I even want to see the movie in theaters, because I know if I do, I’ll see a bunch of Twilight fans who have never even heard of the songs Cherry Bomb, Born To Be Bad, or Bad Reputation before (Joan Jett is my rolemodel), so I guess I’ll watch it on the internet . . . or just wait a week or two to see it in the theater.
Other than that, Kristen and Dakota look like they pulled off both Joan and Cherie very well in this movie, and I’m super excited to see what it is like . . . I just don’t want to jinx it like I did with Twilight, which was not very good.
I did see Adventureland, she did stutter and mumble which is one of the reasons I had to watch it a few times to get through the whole thing. I saw “Into the Wild” as well… same thing. She’s a one dimensional actress, right now, as far as I’m concerned . I’m not just talking about her portrayal of Bella, I realize she’s suppose to be very unsure of herself and maybe she is suppose to speak like that. But every 5 words? come on… you can’t seriously tell me that’s what is considered good acting. If so, the hope of amazing award worthy movies in the future is lost and they should all just quit now.
Getting back to Bella being average…. yeah appearence she’s suppose to be average and hey,… Kristen hit that right on the head. She’s the average next door neighbor, pretty good but not a sex kitten. As far as Bella’s personality, she’s not average or your run of the mill girl. Which is why Edward is so intregued by her. Which if i recall he pretty much says that in Twilight, in so many words. Who says Bella is suppose to be a girl with so little emotion, I think it’s quite the opposite. If she’s so emotionless then where did all this love and passion and need come from. Apparently there are a lot more emotions, at least in the book, that I think you may not have picked up on.
Don’t misunderstand, I wish all the best to Kristen and I hope she developes her skills even more. I think she has to potential of being a good actress, which you can tell every now and then there’s something about her. I’m just saying she’s not there yet. Guess we’ll see how she did in The Runaways.
