Incarceron
Apr 14th, 2010 | By Kallieross | Category: Book News, Book of the Month, Featured ArticlesThis month we are reading Incarceron, by Catherine Fisher. This is a book about a ‘smart’ prison in the future, and a group of inmates trying to escape. If that weren’t enough, there is also a young girl involved, on the outside, helping the group while she tried to escape an arranged marriage. Take some time and read this sci-fi/fantasy, and I promise you’ll be intrigued!
On hold for me at the library! Only #4!! Cant wait to read it!!!
Just finished it a few weeks ago. Really enjoyable 😀 Can’t wait for the next one.
Hey Kallie and Kassie! Love the podcast!
Funny story: So I started this book and I was only about 80ish pages into the book, and put it down right before I went to sleep. THEN, I had a VISION! I saw that Finn was really Giles, and Claudia dumped that loser Clarence or whaterver his name was. AND I WAS RIGHT!!!! I am so proud of myself!!! Haha anyway, This book was really cool! The first 100 or so pages I was SOOO confused, I didn’t really know what the heck was going on. I kinda understood what was going on up in Claudia’s world, but every time the story shifted to what was going on inside Incarceron I was completely lost. But after a while my brain turned itself on and I started understanding it, and I decided that I really liked this book! I was kinda expecting a “wrinkle in time-ish” feel to the book, but it wasn’t like that at all. I’m really not that into Sci Fi that stuff, much less books about prisons, but this one I really liked. Love the Podcast! You guys are awesome!
Ps. Do you know if there’s going to be a sequel? I should think there would be since the ending wasn’t quite the ending you’d expect from a stand-alone book.
Omj I was reading this book already and I love it!!! I had no idea that it was the book of the month lol.
