Salary Dispute Holding Up 5th Movie Announcement?

The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that cast salary disputes are holding up an announcement on whether Breaking Dawn will be one or two parts. They state that negotiations with certain cast members are holding up plans for the series. Click here to read the entire article! The studio is close to finalizing agreements with leads Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, all of whom will get big raises to return for a fifth installment of the vampire romance saga. And director Bill Condon is already signed to film two “Breaking Dawn” movies, which would be shot back-to-back starting in the fall and released in November 2011 and summer 2012, respectively.
But Summit is having a harder time locking in some of the franchise’s secondary characters. Deals for Peter Facinelli (who plays Carlisle Cullen) and Billy Burke (Bella’s father, Charlie Swan) are done, but we’re told the actors who play the Cullen kids (especially Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are trying to sink their teeth into bigger paydays that, at least at this point, the studio behind the billion-dollar franchise is unwilling to provide. “We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point,” says a source close to the dealmaking.
I really hope Summit can come to an agreement. Kellan and Ashley are key characters whose talents have help line their pockets with $$$,$$$,$$$….. It would be devastating to fans if either one were replaced.
If either one of them are replaced, I would get a bunch of twilighters and we would protest!!!!!!!!! KEEP ASHLEY AND KELLAN!!!!!!!
Seriously, I’d rather have 2 (5) movies without Kellan and Ashley then 1 (4) with them… I really like them but if Summit really needs to change them, and if they can find good actors
who look like Alice and Emmet, I’m gonna be happy with it! In another way, they almost changed Taylor for New Moon and at the end, they didn’t cause they made a good deal (and I’m glad they kept him! :)) I would be hangry at summit for the rest of my life if they were thinking about changing Robert, Kristen and/or Taylor, but I would watch the movie anyway if they change Kellan and Ashley cause they are not the most important characters of the saga! It’s sure I gonna be happy if they keep them but like I said, they aren’t that important!
What, Kellen Lutz has like 3 lines in each movie, Neither of them are key actors that really don’t deserve huge paychecks. I hope they can work it out with them, but will it effect the move, no.
It is true what the person above me said.. Kellan only has two lines..in each movie. But their characters are always there and have to be there. I am pretty sure, the Twilight fan base will flip out and do something about Ashley and Kellan are key characters in the books and movies. They can’t be easily cut out. And we have to take into consideration that Summit Entertainment is making Sh*t loads of money all because of Twilight nothing more, they know that it has a gigantic fanbase and they better not mess it up really. they could loose a lot of money. And if these article were to be true they can fire Kellan or Ashley.. they already did it to Rachelle Lafrave.. because she wanted to be payed more?.. if I am not mistaken.. And the new Victoria isn’t so good..
I hope they keep the Kellan and Ashley.
It was about time they raised Rob’s paycheck.. with all the things that are done to him.. (harrasing him, screaming when recognized and invasion of privacy. Same with Kristen and Taylor! )

But I definately agree the the three
major role a.k.a. kristen,robert, and my
favourite taylor need a bigger payment.

I think this would be a very bad career move for the both of them if they do not settle this.. I love them both and they deserve to be paid fairly (not as much as Rob, Kristen, & Taylor) for the few lines that they do have … but they just need to settle bottom line!
If you really thinking about how key Alice’s role in the books and Movie, than you really don’t know Twilight. Without Alice’s visions, Edward would never have trusts his intuitions to pursue Bella in the first book, her visions also lead the Cullen’s to where Bella final show down at the Ballet Studio. In New Moon, if Alice never came back for Bella, Bella wouldn’t of been there to save Edward in Italy. Also, if she didn’t share her premonition of Bella becoming one of them to Aro, the Volturi’s would of kills all off Edward, Bella and her off….end of story. In Eclipse there would be no Jasper teaching the Cullens and the wolf pack how to fight newborns if Alice hadn’t join the Cullen’s Coven. In Breaking Dawn, if it wasn’t for Alice, leaving instructions on what Edward, Bella, and the rest of the Cullen’s to do with Vampire Allies as they were directed to Folks, and if she didn’t find the other Hybrid Vampire/human, there probably would of been a battle scene with casualties on all three sides (wolves, Cullens, and Volturi’s). Hence, Alice and all the Cullen Siblings will in a hell-of-alot more scene’s in final (2) movies, not to mentioned the 3rd installment Eclipse in June. It would be very premature to just axe and replace Cullen siblings when we are just about to see a whole lot more of them…….Only reason it was easier to see Victoria replace, because her character would not be in the final movie installment…..I don’t really think the fans would feel the same for Emmett and Alice with the real battles and challenges yet to be revealed….Aren’t you excited to See Lutz-Emmett challenge Kristen-Bella to Arm wrestling? And, Ashley-Alice dress-up Bella on the big-Wedding day (knowing Ashley is such the fashionista)…..What say you all?
I think they would throw out Kellan before Ashley. And shes the only one who has the bigger part. It doesnt matter whether you consider the movie or the books, its Ashley who has the bigger part. And Im not happy that this is two movies lol
If kellan&ashley want more money, I personaly kind of find them ( ashley&kellan) kind of ridiculos. Don’t they have eg ouoh? Or more importantly don’t they care about the series at all?
Even though, ( depends on how much they’re asking) it would be stupid of summit not to accept
But then shouldn’t they raise the other actors salery to? Cause otherwise they might ask for a raise to.
