Chapter 4: Nature

In this chapter Jacob confronts Bella and says that if she hadn’t gone cliff diving without him, the Cullens would still be gone and he and Bella might be together.  How do you think Jacob and Bella’s relationship might have changed if she hadn’t jumped?  Do you think they would have grown closer, or would Edward have still intervened someday, either in person or in memory?
