                                                                        ——————–Spoiler Alert——————–

(for those who don’t want to know the details, or see what the  house looks like stop here!)

So the house is not actually on an island, but once you see what the house and surrounding area looks like I don’t think it’ll matter. 😉  I will say it’s not quite how I pictured it would be.  I saw it as more of a teeny tiny bungalow with trees surrounding it on all sides, so when I saw this house I was like, “Okay, so it appears as though Carlisle could afford something a bit bigger than what I imagined!

I mean, look at those mountains! “The hilllls are aliiiiiive…” Okay, wrong country, but still! They’re gorgeous!

You can visit the rental website for the house here to see a bunch more pictures.

Rental fees for the house start at $8.000 reais, which is about $5,000, in the off season for a minimum stay of 3 days, and goes up to about $8,000 in the high season.  So if you’ve got cash to spare, and want to visit the place where the magic happened–I cannot believe I just typed that, haha–then check out Casa em Paraty.

So what do y’all think?  Is Isle Esme how you pictured it’d be?  Would you ever spend that amount to stay in the house where they shot the infamous Isle Esme scenes?

Outwardly not what I expected – more trees and sand closer to the house (maybe they’ll alter it). But going to the site and seeing some of the interior and how open it is, I can see better why this house was chosen.
