Kristen Stewart Wanted For Snow White Adaptation

Jan 26th, 2011 | By | Category: Featured Articles, Movie News

The Hollywood Reporter is stating that Kristen Stewart is being courted to play the role of Snow White in an upcoming Universal adaptation of the classic story.  If Kristen accepts the role, she could be starring opposite Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron, who are being considered in the roles of the huntsman and evil queen, respectively.

Joe Roth (of $1 billion–worldwide-grossing ‘Alice in Wonderland’ fame) is producing the redo of the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tale, titled ‘Snow White and the Huntsman.’ Mortensen would play the huntsman.

In this version, the huntsman, ordered by the evil queen to kill Snow White, instead becomes her protector and the duo goes on the run from the nasty monarch. Charlize Theron is in talks to play the queen, according to Variety.

What do you think about this possibility?  Do you think Kristen will accept?  And do you see her in the iconic role?

NO! I don’t think she is that good of an actress and she will ruin Snow White for me. They should go with someone like Mia Wasikowska, who was kind of unknown for the part!

    Brittany White-
What the hell are you talking about ? Kristen is great and I hope she proves you wrong with Breaking Dawn and On the Road. I’ve seen Mia in Alice and I’ve seen trailers like Jany Eyre but Kristen is better for the role.

  4. Alicija says:

I like the possibility. I don’t know if she will acept but I hope so. I think that she could play any role she like.

  5. Forrest says:

That’s definitely not a part she should be in. In her past movies she had the parts that fit her, but Snow White wouldn’t be a great fit for Kristen. Actors aren’t miracle workers, and few (if any people) can completely drop their entire sense of who they are to fit a role. Kristen herself admitted in an interview that she brought part of herself to Twilight, and wished she could be the kind of person that could fit any part, but that just doesn’t happen.

  6. Arianne says:

I think she should do it! Kristen is a unique combination of the rebel and the girl-next-door that she would add a freshness to the whole Snow White as a weak and vulnerable female heroine. Imagine the Disney Snow White in Docs and with a Bowie knife….I like it. And she deserves a chance to prove whether or not she can hold her own….she’s no wilting flower- I think we’d be pleasantly surprised!

Hey we have the same name! I’ve never met anyone with the same name as me before. I’ve met like arianna and stuff but not the same name spelled the same way I think it’s so cool.

  7. Tammi says:

I think it would be a fresh take on an old favorite and Kristen is just the person to deliver in this retelling. I agree with the comment about Kristen in “Docs and with a Bowie knife”, that image right there is definitely a different take on snow white. Should be interesting plus I like the other actors they have lined up.

Hey all if you liked the actress who played Victoria In Twilight and new moon She is on a new tv series on ABC called Off The Map. The show also stars the actor who played Matt on Friday night Lights. It is on Wednesday nights on abc 10pm Easter time. It is a good show it is from the women who created Greys. Please watch it thanks

  9. Amy Kat says:

UGH… why do they do this to me… sorry Snow White would not be played well by Kristen. When I think snow white I don’t think awkward, studdering, garden-variety girl playing teens full of anxed or some pot head freak. SORRY to all that like her but her acting skills barely rank “average” in my book. Everything Ive seen her in… erks my nerves… even in panic room i just didn’t like her. AND that’s when the studdering worked in her favor, now I wish she’d just spit out the line already. I watch the Twilight series despite her.

  10. Sammykins says:

Oh good. That’s what we all need. A Snow White who mumbles, stutters, and awkward pauses all the time.
