The new music video for Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years,” featured on the Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack, will make its debut tomorrow morning at 6 am EST on several MTV networks.  Here is the official press release with all the details:

Atlantic recording artist Christina Perri has announced the world premiere of her eagerly awaited new video, “A Thousand Years.”  The track – exclusively featured on Summit Entertainment/Chop Shop/Atlantic’s upcoming “THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK” – is available now at all leading digital retailers, while the album arrives in stores and at all online retailers on Tuesday, November 8^th.
“A Thousand Years” will debut Wednesday, October 26^th at 6 am ET on an array of MTV platforms, including MTV’s AMTV, MTV Hits, MTV.com, and VH1.com.  In addition, the video – directed by Jay Martin (whose previous work includes Perri’s breakthrough hit, “Jar of Hearts” as well as clips for such artists as Kid Rock, Skylar Grey, Death Cab for Cutie) – will have its VH1 on-air premiere during the upcoming installment of Top 20 Video Countdown, slated to air Saturday, October 29^th at 9 am ET (check local listings).
Perri is scheduled to perform “A Thousand Years” as part of the unique promotional tour celebrating the imminent arrival of Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, which opens in theatres nationwide on November 18^th.  The tour – which sees appearances from select members of the film’s cast, including Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, and Ashley Greene – will hit concert venues in Atlanta, Chicago, and Dallas beginning Monday, November 7^th (see attached itinerary).  Additional dates slated for San Francisco and Salt Lake City will feature live performances from Sleeping At Last and Aqualung & Lucy Schwartz, all of whom are also featured on “THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK.”  Tickets are free and will be available beginning at 10 am local time on Saturday, November 5^th at each event location.  Tickets are limited to two per person, non-transferable, and available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.  Tour dates and locations, as well as cast availability, are subject to change.
“A Thousand Years” follows Perri’s breakthrough debut album, “lovestrong.,” which entered the SoundScan/Billboard 200 among the top 5 upon its release earlier this year.  The album – which includes the 2x-platinum certified smash, “Jar of Hearts” – is also shaping up as an unqualified international sensation, with top 5 success in Australia and Ireland as well as top 10 sales in Canada and the United Kingdom.

Chop Shop Music Supervision owner Alexandra Patsavas (Grey’s Anatomy, Gossip Girl) returns as Producer/Music Supervisor on “THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK,” having worked closely with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 director Bill Condon in compiling the tracklisting.  Paul Katz of Eye2Ear Music serves as both the producer of the album as well as Summit’s point person on film-related music and soundtracks.
The hugely anticipated next chapter of The Twilight Saga will be released as two separate films, with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 slated for release on November 18^th, 2011 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 due on November 16^th, 2012.  Academy Award® winner Bill Condon directed both films, which star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner.  Both The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 are based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, with the screenplays penned by Melissa Rosenberg, and Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer producing.
