Ashley Michele Greene was born on February 21, 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida. The 5′ 5″ actress and model graduated high school early at the age of 17 in order to move to Hollywood to pursue her dream of acting. She soon began landing modeling jobs and eventually began her acting career with roles in both film and television. Ashley will next been seen as Alice Cullen in the movie adaptation of “Twilight.”

Alice Cullen, born Mary Alice Brandon in 1901, is the petite, pixie-like adopted daughter of Carlisle and Esmee Cullen. In Alice’s human life she was admitted to an asylum for having premonitions. Alice was changed into a vampire by one of the asylum workers in order to save her from James, a vampire that was hunting her (and the same one that hunts Bella much later). Upon becoming a vampire, Alice’s human premonitions turned into an ability to see the future, though there are some exclusions. Her ability works only after a person has made a decision about their actions and her power is completely blocked when it concerns werewolves or people like Renesme. Alice had a vision of her future husband, Japser, and met up with him in a Philadelphia diner before the two left to join the Cullens in their new life.
