Billy Burke ~ Charlie
Actor William (Billy) Albert Burke was born November 25, 1966 in Bellingham, Washington.
Billy began singing at age 9 and joined a band at 15, continuing to play while
studying drama at Western Washington University. The actor has appeared in many
television series including "24," "Monk," "Party of Five," and "Gilmore Girls,"
while some of his film credits include "Ladder 49" and "Fracture." Billy also
appears as one of the famous faces in the online poker website Hollywood Poker. He
will next be seen as Carlie Swan in "Twilight."
Charlie Swan is chief of police in Forks, WA, and is the father of Bella Swan.
Charlie divorced Renee, Bella's mother whom he married right out of high school,
when Bella was a baby, and has remained single ever since. When Bella comes to live
with him during her junior year, Charlie and she develop a closer relationship as
they learn more about each other. Charlie is an avid sports fan and loves to fish
with his best friends, Harry Clearwater and Billy Black.
