‘Breaking Dawn’ Production Update: Arsenal Park in Baton Rouge & Bella’s House in VancouverJan 24th, 2011 | By Stefanie | Category: Fandom, Featured Articles, Movie News
So according to the latest issue of Scene Weekly, Breaking Dawn wraps production in Baton Rouge on February 17, then the cast and crew are off to Vancouver till the end of April! That means there’s still about a month left of shooting in Baton Rouge!
Friday night was a night shoot on the set of Breaking Dawn and according to their tweets, Amadou Ly, Jamie Campbell-Bower, & Marlane Barnes were all on set for the shoot! They filmed at Arsenal Park in downtown Baton Rouge. The location has been under construction since last week, and it’s not clear what scenes were filmed–goodness knows we here at TST have done our fair share of speculating! All we know is Peter Facinelli wasn’t be there, he tweeted that he’s got the day off! Here’s a picture from On Location Vacations of the Arsenal Park set, early on during construction:
It’s hard to see, but in the background there’s a metal frame. After much speculation on my part that this was going to be constructed into the facade of some fantastic estate house–seeing as there’s garden statues, etc…–, it turns out the metal frame is for a giant green screen (which, because of special fx, could still end up looking like an estate house! haha)! Visit Hollywood Life to see the rest of the pictures from set.
Here’s the local news team, WBRZ, in Baton Rouge reporting on the shoot!
Y’all wanna take a guess as to what they might be filming?
While the Baton Rouge cast and crew are hard at work, the crew in Vancouver is reconstructing Bella’s house! Newsgirl News, aka @OLTV, has some great pictures that show the progress the crew has made over the last 5 days (click to make them bigger)!
