Taylor Lautner is Jacob Black!

It has been confirmed in an article released by the Peninsula Daily News today that Taylor Lautner is playing Jacob Black in Twilight! The article also discusses some of the filming schedule, and confirms that they will be filming in LaPush!
you really shouldn’t hate on taylor as jacob. his flipping hawt! now i agree on edward. why isn’t he hot like we imagined! but who else would be hot enough?

WELL i THINK we as Natives HAVE a REASON to complain. It is Definately an insult that they didnt pick a Native american as Jacob there are SOOO many Indian guys that could do this part Very well and I wish they would of took the time to FIND a real Native to play the part. I dont think you all really understand the diappointment it brings to our culture WHEN we finally have a role that is good and could represent natives WELL. Instead of the regular Movies where we are livin on the rez and goin to powwows this could have been a great oppurtunity for our people to get out of the usual sterotypical roles we play

Taylor lautner has only been a main character in like 2 movies, 3 years ago when he was 13. He might be a better Jacob than you think. There was no illustration of what Jacob was supposed to look like, there was a description in the books but the director might have focused only on some details more than others. For you guys who are saying he’s too small to be Jacob Black remeber that in Twilight he’s a normal sized kid, and Taylor said he was gonna bulk up for New Moon. What’s really annoyin me is that a lot of you are saying that Taylors not hot enough to play Jake ,even though personally i think he’s hot, seriously you need to realize that there is the smallest possible chance that there is someone who looks EXACTLY like the characters and everyone has their own depictions of him.

He looks like a kid, which is why I think he’d be good for Twilight.
HOWEVER, what about in newmoon or eclipse? He can’t look like a man by 2010, when they release New Moon to theaters,
i think that taylor lautner is perfect for jacob. after all, jacob is only just turned fifteen in the book twilight and he looks young enough. he did sign on to play the role of jacob in new moon and eclipse. i think he’ll do great in those movies with some editing done to make him look taller and such.
i do think that robert pattinson does play a good edward from what i’ve seen of the twilight trailers.

In my opinion Mr. Lautner is not the correct choice to play the role of Jacob Black. Whenever I see Lautner in Twilight, I’m going to be expecting a shark frenzy or a Sharkboy & Lavagirl inspired burst of flames. Not to mention the fact that he just does not look good with long hair. After reading about other people’s suggestions on who should play Jacob’s character, I have to agree that Steven Strait would make the best scene.

OMG, he is the best person to be playing Jacob Black. I think all the people they cast are great. ITs really hard to hit the middle of a dart board(they bascicly got the cast right), but the people hit really close!!! Cant beleive its coming out in November!!! To bad bout harry potter though but go Twilight. Breaking Dawn was awesome!!!!

I think the books are AMAZING!! I am on page 128 of the 1st book and can’t get enough of them!! The author is such a BRILLIANT writer it makes the books so easy to understand. I can’t wait for the movie I love this series, well done!!
