14 Days Till November 21!

Nov 6th, 2008 | By | Category: Featured Articles, Movie News, Site News

Today’s question is:

Other than Twilight, do you have a favorite vampire/werewolf book or movie?

Kallie:  I loved Teen Wolf growing up! LOL!

Kassie:  Does “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” work?   Great TV show!!! 🙂

Kelly:  Uh no, I sort of shun all other types of vampires and werewolves.

Muna:  No, but I’m one huge Harry Potter nerd 🙂

Alex:  Marked P.C. Cast

Lexine:  I am guilty of reading paranormal romances to pass time on the bus.  One series takes a really interesting take on werewolves/vampires relating it to Greek mythology… not shabby.

McKell:  I don’t watch much on Vampires or Werewolves, but Sweeney Todd is bloody, does that count?

Marisa:  The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice beats all!!! Louis could beat Edward at an emo contest, and that’s saying something.

Krystal:  Hmmm, I love the movie “Interview with the Vampire,” the old Dracula movies, and Prof. Lupin!  🙂

  2. Heather D says:

I liked the spin off soap Port Charles. Half way thru the show decided to do vampires and right before they got canceled they introduced werewolves. But Remus Lupin will always be my favorite werewolf 🙂

  3. Kassidy says:

my fav wherewolfe is probably Lupin from H.P.

and my fav vamp move is ovisally THE LOST BOYS!!!
    that movie is AMAZING!!!

  4. Wendy says:

I love the Southern Vampire Book Series with Sookie Stackhouse as the lead character. They are written by Charlaine Harris and they have it all!!! Witches, vamps, wherewolves, etc…… These are Adult books though, which is why HBO picked up the rights for the show True Blood which is based on the books. They have action as well as romance and I was able to get through them almost as quickly as the Twilight series. There are 8 books in the series so far with the latest due out in May. City of Bones is next on my list so I am glad to see that someone else speak well of it!

  5. Claudia says:

this is not a werewolf/vampire story but have any of you read “A Great and Terrible Beauty”?
    That book is AMAZING!!!
    😀

  6. Becky says:

I know its not a book or a movie but I loved BUFFY growing up, the vampires may be bad in it but they are still, so hot!!!!!

  8. Angelica says:

I love the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Novels, Anne Rice, Harry Potter, good ol’ Bram Stoker …. but other than Twilight … I HAVE to say the Anita Blake novels by Laurell K. Hamilton. A-MAXING books … has everything in them … mind you they’re more adult than the Sookie Stackhouse novels … but truly amazing and one of my favorite book series to date!!

  9. Julia says:

    The Vampire Diaries!!!
I totally recomend these… the plot is a little too close to Twilight in the beginning. but it gets better!!!

  10. Jasmine says:

I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Great T.V show!!! 🙂

  11. Rose Forester says:

I liked Blood and chocolate. The book was okay but in my opinion the movie was better because in the book the main chariters choice of guys sucked, and she ended up with the misunderstood dooshbag. While the movie had cool warewolf effects and the ending didn’t make me mad.

  12. Dani from Fangless says:

Oh, “Interview with a Vampire”, and “Queen of the Damned” all the way! (Sorry but Lestat in the Queen of the Damned is just gorgeous! Sorry Edward! Haha) and the “Underworld” movies! Amazing!

  13. Julia R says:

I suggest that everyone read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward.
Amazing vampire series. It was definitely a great follow up to the Twilight series! It was fun to sort of play with the similarities as well as the differences that this series had vs. Twilight. It is a little on the adult reader side, but all the books are great.

  14. Shteff! says:

Blade. Yeah, it’s not the greatest thing…underworld is amazing also! The whole set of them YAY!

  15. Alex says:

    Books:
Blood Sucking Feinds, and its sequal “You Suck”
    Vampire Acadamy, its sequal “Frostbite”
    House Of Night Series
Sookie Stack House aka Southern Vampire Series
    Movies:
    Interview with a Vampire
    Lost Boys 1
    Little Vampire

true Blood is pretty good. 🙂

  18. Allie says:

I agree with Tiffany! City of Bones and City of Ashes are both really great books. Can’t wait till the third one comes out. =]

  19. Hilda says:

The Lost Boys was one of my favorite movies back in high school ~ great movie soundtrack and Keither Sutherland was a very scary bad vampire. James and Keither would make for a very cool showdown!

  20. Jacob's Girl says:

I watched Salem’s Lot when I was about 9 years old. It gave me nightmares about vampires for 2 entire years, no kidding!!! But Twilight has relieved me of my fear of vampires. LOL 😀

  21. peeves says:

Right now i am reading the Blue Bloods Series by Melissa De La Cruz i am on the third book
