Twilight in Las Vegas!

*SPOILER ALERT*

Around 4:30 pm at South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, several people were lined up waiting for the 5:30 pre-party for the Twilight special movie premiere. When we entered, the long wait paid off, the first several loyal Twiligters were rewarded with a mark on their tickets, ensuring first rights into the theater, and pick of the seats(after VIPs of course). Unfortunately, the pictures I got were limited, when security asked me to surrender, my camera and phone, till after the showing. The whole event was pure charity. St. Judes in Boulder City, Nevada, was in desperate need of money.
Summit Entertainment and South Point, in cooperation with St. Judes, gave Twiligters of Las Vegas the opportunity to see it five hours before its technical release, and give every cent earned to St. Judes Hospital that evening. It was an amazing success!  St. Judes was given $23,000 from tickets alone! But the good will didn’t stop there, posters were sold and donation boxes were all over. The families from St. Judes were given the front row seats. When St. Judes was given the check, they were so grateful, that they would be getting a renovation on their forty year old kitchen, from the money.
Then the fans got crazy, because they were calling tickets. Taking the concession coupons that came with our tickets, fans filled the theater. They even started an “Edward” cheer; I believe it went something along the lines of, “Edward”-”Cullen!” I was shocked that screaming and cheering were to a dull roar, only happening at the beginning, then Rob’s first appearance, and the much awaited lines: “Skin of a Killer,” “I just want to try one thing, hold very still,”  and “I dream about being with you forever.”
Personally, I got the opinion that most, including myself, were happy with the film. It can’t be easy, adapting a 500 page novel, of this popularity and turning it into a two-hour film. Like the cast said on the red carpet,”If I didn’t think it would be good, I would be in hiding”. The things I thought were off and some agree with me were, Rob wasn’t that sparkly, (but we’re from Vegas, our idea is probably something like The Luxor’s Light) and that the Aston Martin, wasn’t in the prom scene (but I don’t know if it was in the budget).
Big Thank you to, South Point Casino, Summit Entertainment and any unmentioned people who helped.

I was an idiot for missing this. I live here in Vegas and missed both the South Point Event and the Prive event. Even though Rob never stopped this way, he should. Nobody parties like Vegas. Just ask Taylor and Kellen. I WON’T miss ’em next time. You better believe it!
