omg! this is a hard question!!! after some pondering, i have decided that i totally agree with Jodelle Ferland would be superb for Jane!! she totally rocks!!! i think that Viggo Mortensen could go for any of the other Volturi, like Aro, Marcus and Caius. or Johnny Depp would rock too!!!! i love all of these actors! and i TOTALLY think that they should keep Taylor Lautner for the PRE-werewolf jacob, but for the POST-werewolf Jacob i think that Steven Strait from Sky High would be an AWESOME post-werewolf jacob! he has the PERFECT smile and is really great and ABSOLUTELY positivly perfect for the part! i LOVE your podcasts!!! TEAM JACOB ROCKS YOUR SOCKS!!

I think Emily Browning should play Jane. She was Violet Baudelaire from a Series of Unfortunate Events. She looks really young, and she’s only 20. Plus, it’s appropriate because her middle name is Jane!!!! She has really nice, porcelain-like skin, so they wouldn’t have to do much to it to make her look like a vampire.

i think that they should stick with actors that are less known.
although i think that jeromy irons of jason issacs should play caius.

I’m choosing between jodelle ferland and dakota fanning to play Jane Volturi. Either way i will really love it. About Aro ill choose johnny depp. I think he can portray the role effectively… they just have to do something about his feature to make him look like a vampire… Matt dallas will be good for caius…. I really love matt dallas in kyle xy.. hes HOT!!!
Has anyone considered Ellen Page for Jane? And Ben Barnes as either Aro or Marcus.

Jane: Jodelle ferland or Dakota Fanning. Both have the look and are smart, good actresses. Amanda Cosgrove has the look, but I haven’t seen her act in anything that shows any acting ability.
For JAne i think it should be Mila Kunis. Shes not old, but she isn’t a litlle kaid and she pulls off feirce and innocent both very well. She has a high voice and and and well yes… thats who it should be
For either Aro, Marco, or Cauis get Jack NIcholson.He was in the Bucket LIst. Cause the italian three should be older gentleman. People are picking 20 year olds to paly him and he isnt like that. It says their skin is transculucent and papery. That would look better with somone older than somone like johnny depp.

Okay, i am srry to all of you people but i personally dont think that major actors should be in any of these movies. Okay yes johnny deep is an amazing actor but still seriously? and Dakota Fanning? Honestly? Or that Abigale whatever.. i mean come one they are way to young! Yes, Jane is supposed to be short but not 5! Let the people who know what they are doing choose.

Have any of you seen Rupert Friend? He played Mr Wickham in 2005 Pride and Prejudice. He would make a great member of the Volturi. And the perfect Jane would be Saoirse Ronan (the little girl in Atonement – talk about creepy). If they go with really well-known actors it could be a problem. Most would want top billing and considering the breif role the Volturi play in this one, it would be hard.
well first of all vampires don’t really age in these books so the volturi could any age what ever age they were when they were changed so i think ben barnes would be a good aro and jim sturgess as marcus maybe and then i think that the actor that played malfoy’s dad would be a great caius and jane is not a child be is very childlike and should have some one that is creepy but childlike to play her
OMG!!!! I have been asking myself if I have read a different New Moon from the one everyone else on this sight has read. Although the Volturi are very old in years they are not decribed as ancient looking!!! The suggestions of some of the actors above are quite ridiculous. Ian McKellen, Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman and Christopher Lee are all far too old. For them to be that old looking they must have become vampires when collecting their pensions!!! I also feel Gary Oldman and Jason Isaac are just too old as well. Vampires are suppose to be YOUNG and beautiful who would these old foggies attract. Seriously we will be having Goldie Hawn suggested for Jane next!!!

Ok, the only jane I could ever be happy with is the eerie Kristen Chenoweth. She’s extremely short, has a high voice, and her face is beautiful yet frighteningly scary at the same time when she smiles. The only actor who could ever play Caius is Christopher Lee, who is pretty familiar with playing Dracula, anyway, and besides he looks really dignified, ancient, and royal-ish. I like henry cavill and ben barnes, but I don’t think the volturi are meant to be these stunningly attractive, young-looking guys, do you? they’re, like, the royal family of the vampires.

but at the same time jane and alec are not ten,eleven or tweleve years old has some of you like to beilive for they are both cleary described as having ” child like qualities” so why would a child be described that way, Jane and alec are probably in the 16- 18 age range.

i dont know why everybody keeps suggesting this jodelle girl, she is way to young, she is quite obviously wayy to young and she is not meant to be a ten year old!! if she was 10 that would make her an immortal child which by the volturi themselves is punishable by death soooo. no. jodelle would be a horrible choice.
i think a baby faced young woman or adult would be a better choice, but someone who is also small.

i think that Heath Ledger would’ve made a great marcus, but he’s not alive any more, so i think that they should have Vinnie Jones for him. for Caius, Milo Ventimiglia; and for Aro Bill Nighy, ’cause he did a real good job in the underworld movies.

I am thirteen years old and live in waltham,massacuquetts(uhhhh….idk if i spelled that right) Anyway Im a good actor and love to sing and everyone says I could pass for a vampire with my plain white skin. Even though its oddly strange…Iam spanish though I look nothing like it…….I should be french or somethung but noooooo….
Any how if you need an actor for like Leah or Heidi or demetri’s wife I’m YOUR GIRL……(or any young aged chacarter)
Plus i’ve read all the books and well fell in love with them …..
SO yeah…. Though I really hope you make your right choice in choosing chacarters instead of choosing anyone famous for any new chacaters that werent in twilight but show up in New Moon and Breaking Dawn and Eclipse….

umm Jane and Aro, I always thought, would be like pre teens or teenagers. NOT adults.
Ok, again people you need to pull your heads out of the clouds. They have a VERY SMALL budget in relation to other films. Not to mention they have already said that a good chunk of it was going to pay for on site filming in Italy. You need to be realistic. First, they don’t have the money for some of the actors you’ve diluted yourself over. Secondly, it would more in line with the Twilight theory if they kept the names low on the radar. Finally, yes, Jane is young however young and child are two different things, let’s also point out that a tiny little 10 year old will not daunt Bella. She has to look a smidge older than Bella but still very childlike. As for the trio I always think that they are closer to 50 and they look fragile so no matter who you pick they will end up looking like wrinkled paper and fragile as a monument made of dust. (Trust me I read the book enough to know. I’m reading them in reverse order just for something different.)

Dakota Fanning has already been cast as Jane. Summit has already released this information and it has been confirmed officially by ET (Entertainment Tonight). I personally would have picked sommeone better, knowing that Dakota Fanning will most likely refuse to cut her hair short as it has been described in ‘New Moon’. New Moon will, however, turn out better than Twilight did (the movies) because the budget for ‘Twilight’ was limited, barely allowing Summit to pay their actors. ‘New Moon’, thay are sure, will turn out as a bigger hit than ‘Twilight’ did seeing as it is more popular now that everyone has wittnessed ‘Twilight’ and started reading the series.

jodelle ferland would be the perfect jane!i watched “the hills”,she is a amazing actress.but many people say,dakota fanning will play jane.i can’t imagine her in jane’s role.jodelle is much better for jane.i like dakota,but jodelle is simply much better.she seems as this dolls in horror movies as.extremely sweet,but completely evil.

i think the casting will go for actors and actresses that not many have heard of.
sometimes movies get ruined by the “high-end” celebrity type. of course they’l want
great acting but new people. but as for Jodelle Ferland, she might make it. but all that talk about
Dakota and others. . . . realistically…no.
and if dakota was casted as jane…. well alot of people just wont understand it.

DEFFINETLY NOTNOTNOT JOHNNY DEPP 4 ARO!!!!!! antonio benderes, and mybe dakkota fanning, but reallt, she looks WAT too sweet for jane. other than that, i really picture curs as a dark haired guy with stubble, but young, and his hair has to be pulled back, he has to also have a really big and cute/eivil smile that just sort of sucks you in, even though he isnt a very big part.
i think that Abigail Breslin should play the role of jane.
Matthew Macfadyen as Caius would be great because his beautiful voice would echo eerily through the Volturri halls. He is also very tall, just like the books description.
